Thanks a lot James! And thanks for the advice!

Well, I just voted your first video out of the queue, so no more P. Beyond that really the best suggestion I have is to just stick with it. There is a certain 6th sense to sifting and if you stick around you will start to get a feeling for what the community craves.

Welcome to the sift you full fledged member you.

Thanks James Lighten the browns eh? It's hard to get a true sepia look w/ something that's not a photograph
I want the color to look aged or true sepia as if all the colors were equally altered into sepia. Does that make sense?
I appreciate it James

In reply to this comment by James Roe:
Lighten all the browns by 2 - 3 shades, swampy if you email me a higher quality version of that watch, i'll clean up the edges and make it a transparent png so it blends seemlessly with the background on the header.

I would e-mail you Mr.Roe, concerning any grievances I have with theo47, if I had any that I thought should be discussed au privae. I don't. I will continue to respond, as I see fit, to his observations and opinions, as he does to mine. His actions were an editorial without words. Like I have said before, passive-aggression is a coward's wallow.

You did get the gyst of my post? I posted a rant using some expletives, which was a simple bit of scathing commentary towards a couple of public figures, and theo47, wholesale censored it, with a discard. He did this as a response to the comments I made on one of his, sift talk posts, about teh dailyshow. Give me a reason, please, why I should not post it again, exactly as it was? (I already went and shit all over his post)I am simply doing as he his, which is exercising through votes and words, my pleasure or distaste. He does not seem to be up to the rules of dacor, or courtesy. You have read some of his retrograde streams? He acts as if a dissenting opinion is absurd and unwarranted, and ends up shitting his pants when called on his bullshit.

I suppose my action on his sift talk post, was a bit of his own medicine, and appears to outsiders as some kind of conflict.....GOOD! So....what have you decided about a resolution to this...situation? It is not anyone's way to ignore, though they may say it, it is seldom so. I say forget it, and let me do as I will, when ever he shows his ass, and I would hope that he, and all here, would continue to do the same for me as well...

Hey guys, we know that things can get animated in social sites, but we think this is more of an interpersonal issue than a site wide problem. Please email us your grievances at videosift@gmail.com concerning the thread located at: http://www.videosift.com/talk/Choggie-Has-Problems and we will try to reach some sort of mutually acceptable agreement / calming of tensions.

thanks,

your friendly Siftagement.

This is a serious necro-post/reply, but I had to do it.

It would be cheaper to move everyone away from the areas that will eventually be underwater than to reverse the inevitable change in sea level. Trying to stop global warming is like trying to stop the sun from shining. It's already happening, and is well on its way. The question is, how do we allocate our global resources to benefit as many people as possible. Pouring billions of dollars into fuel cell research will probably allow the U.S. to be driving mostly hydrogen powered cars by 2040. What could that same amount of money due towards eradicating AIDS. or providing world-wide micro-loans? or subsidizing local african and asian farmers as much as their US corporate counterparts. or 1/10000 as much in removing all deployed land mines from the planet. It's all about resource allocation, and if we don't figure that out, we're hosed no matter what we do in the long run.

BTW, I wouldn't rely on that map. I just zoomed into the area I grew up in - it's got the flood zones completely wrong.

Oh yeah - VS 3.0 rocks.

In reply to this comment by James Roe:
"Is change automatically bad?"

well when it leads to the flooding expressed in this flood map yes. Play around with the change in water height up at the top.

Hi James, I accidently discarded this post cuz I copied and pasted a quote from another sifttalk post that had the discard invocation in it. Myself and other sifters tried to save it but it won't work - can you save it please? Thanks
