If the pedals were hooked up to a flywheel, and this in turn was connected to the leg movement mechanism it would remove a lot of the friction they're facing with each rotation. Basically the direct connection of the pedals to the leg movement mechanism is leading to feedback that impedes the ability to pedal smoothly.

Trump is apparently begging to be put in jail.
A reporter actually watched him in the courtroom going over the talking points his maga friends planned to give outside the courtroom and editing them, then handing them back to his supporters who went outside and read them to the press. The quotes he edited that they repeated to the press were often violations of the gag order…that’s not what he edited out. Somehow he thinks this isn’t directing others to make statements in violation of the gag order…or he understands it’s a major direct violation and is begging for jail. His lawyers are not stopping this, they know for certain it’s a violation that will get their client another contempt charge. What are they doing? Playing to lose?

Trump is going out and bragging about ending Roe v Wade, saying how wonderful it’s been since he did, suggesting women in states where it’s banned who try to leave to get abortions should go to prison, now saying publicly he would support the state monitoring pregnant women like parolees which means monitoring all women constantly to be sure they aren’t secretly pregnant…I think he’s thinking a handmaiden’s tale is a plan, not a warning. This loses him about 80% of women nationwide and drives tens of millions of maybe I’ll vote voters to the polls, just like Trump being on the ticket did in 2020 but more. He’s also saying to expect major cuts to Medicaid, social security, and any assistance programs for the poor if he’s president again, losing him a big chunk of his elderly base that survive on those benefits they spent a lifetime paying into. Carrol told a couple of friends about the encounter immediately after it, so she corroborating witnesses that confirmed under oath that she had talked to them about the event 30 years ago.

Trump lied and said he would never treat women badly, that he never met Carrol, and that she wasn't his type.

Carrol's team proved that they had met (pictures and people's testimony) and Trump misidentified Carrol as his ex wife in a picture which was used to show that she physically was his type. The Access Hollywood secret audio was used with other evidence to show that Trump had bragged about treating women badly.

Last but not least Carrol offered a stained dress like Monica Lewinski that could be tested if only Trump would offer his DNA. Guess what? Trump would not offer his DNA to attempt a match.

The great part about the case here is that it appears Democrats actually hold each other to the laws instead of just obstructing or using their positions to try and get high profile people off scott free.
