US Navy laser lights boat on fire
>> ^deathcow:
Depends on the power I guess. Typical affordable mirror is probably in the 90% - 95% reflectivity. If they pack a megawatt laser than your mirror will be absorbing between 100,000 to 50,000 watts.
Not to mention that not all lasers are in the visible light spectrum. Infrared and ultraviolet lasers wouldn't be repeled by such means.

I like this video about how funny Tennis is.
It bothers me this is the funniest Tennis gets.
And some tennis players are bitchier than soccer players. Annoying little piss-ants.
NORAD on 9/11: What was the U.S. military doing that day?
Warning! More rude trollish massively copy and pasting stuff from websites below:
9/11 Truth vs Denial vs Pseudo-truths and Other Lies
David Watts on the Backfire Effect:
“The Truth: When your deepest convictions are challenged by contradictory evidence, your beliefs get stronger.”
9/11 is a perfect example. Despite the mountain of contradictory evidence of the official story, most people’s belief that what they are being told by the authorities and media becomes even stronger. If people were able to assimilate the contradictory evidence, they would understand that 9/11 was a false flag operation.
“The great masses of the people… will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one.” — Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf
“The individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists.” — J. Edgar Hoover, former FBI director
“Only the small secrets need to be protected. The big ones are kept secret by public incredulity.” — Marshall McLuhan, Canadian educator, philosopher, and scholar–a professor of English literature, a literary critic, a rhetorician, and a communication theorist.

Great, now develop a "cyalume" version that actually stores the sunlight to be used at night.
Gee, is cyalume not as common as water, chlorine, and 2L pop bottles? Yeah thanks for pointing that out genius. <- sarcasm here.
As a kid we used to have rechargable glow sticks. I'm pretty sure if you could come up with a recipe for making that shit at home or at least from commonly available chemicals like bleach, then you'd have something even more valuable. Please no snide comments "informing" me of the logistical realities.

i hope i'm not disrespecting americans knowledge of all things pancake. after all they did come up with the microwaveable jimmy dean pancake and sausage on a stick. sausage wrapped in pancake. microwaveable. with choc chips. on a stick. and microwaveable.
>> ^shponglefan:
My tried-and-tested pancake recipe:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-2 tablespoons brown sugar (depending on desired sweetness)
1 tablespoon of maple syrup
1 3/4 cups milk (I use Vanilla-flavored soy milk)
1 egg
2 tablespoons light olive oil
1 tsp each of nutmeg and cinnamon
Mix dry and wet ingredients seperately, then whisk together until lump-free, let stand until thickened, and then cook on medium heat. After about 30 seconds in the pan I add some sort of fruit combination into the pancake including blueberry, raspberry, pineapple, strawberry, apple, etc. I then cover the fruit with some more batter. Blueberry & pineapple is an especially delicious combo. Cook until golden on each side, then top with maple syrup or whipped cream (or both).

"Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion." -Steven Weinberg
No... The affront to human dignity is humanity. We are a species of sick fucks and the fact that we don't admit it makes us sicker. We blame "concepts" as our faults--as if religion is the insult to human dignity...hard to say that when it is a naturally occurring concept, i.e., ingrained in the human code (One of the five Universals. Something we must "unlearn" in order to break away from.) Always something else's fault... never ours. If it was ours we'd have to work hard to fix it. Reminds me of why America is in decline right now...
Here, Steven Weinberg is an idiot. I appreciate Alan Watts much better...

I wouldn't let anyone adopt a child...let alone a religious person.
