I'm torn by videos like this.
On the one hand, they're gorgeous and expose many to the graduate of wild nature.
On the other hand, they totally ruin that experience for anyone who went through the expense and trouble to actually be in that natural wilderness.

Imagine you've spent thousands to travel to Iceland, and after days of travel you finally get to the pristine wild you were hoping to find....then HRRRRUUUMMMM....the next few hours are spent listening to the loud noise and scenery ruining of a large drone flitting about, almost following you through the wilderness, ruining the whole experience.

Exactly that happened to my wife and I in Iceland. The assholes went so far as to pass the "do not pass" signs and not only flew around, but set up and stood directly in front of the amazing waterfall we had hiked to see, for hours, even when asked to move.

I think there need to be severe restrictions on drone flying in natural parks and wilderness areas...like 4 days a year when it's allowed and no other times or something. Your beautiful video shouldn't trump the enjoyment of the others who took the trouble to get there, far from civilization.

Gorgeous. I went there last summer. It is that stunning. I strongly suggest it as a vacation destination to anyone adventurous.

BUT.....

When you spend the time, energy, and exorbitant amounts of money to go see the unspoiled wilderness and nature, and some asshole ruins it by flying their drone overhead for a few hours, it's enraging.
That happened to us twice (maybe by the same group at different places, we aren't sure). I was ready to grab that drone and throw it in the berg filled lagoon, or the beautiful collimated basalt waterfall they were flying in front of. I had to wait over an hour at the waterfall for the assholes to move out of the picture....they had walked past the 'don't go past this sign' signs to get the shots they wanted right in front of the falls, and refused to move or get back on the trail.

If you own a drone, please be respectful of the rules and of others, or know that it's your fault when someone loses it and destroys your toy. Don't act like the world belongs to you, and other people's peaceful enjoyment of natural areas don't matter.
Your youtube views don't trump my right to peace and quiet in nature.
I feel like drones need to be regulated in public spaces for that reason. Not totally banned, but given specific days when it's allowed and make most parks and all natural parks off limits at all other times.
Drone footage is amazing, drones buzzing overhead are amazingly annoying.

At 8:24 just as he's saying "rich Americans are therefore beginning to return to the city", the city shown is Canadian (Vancouver). The glass and metal structure in the lower left of the view is the Law Courts Building where my civil wedding took place under a waterfall.

Maybe he dies every time, but then aliens resurrect him and place him down at the bottom of the waterfall -- you did it, human! You did it!!

I have to say, this is the first time I've seen a video of someone seemingly waiting for an excellently framed "wow" moment that actually had a valid reason to be pointing that direction in the first place. Those waterfalls are beautiful.

Now someone needs to add an aerator unless the waterfalls are constant. That's a lot of fish in a stagnant 'pond'.
I wonder, why did no one put fish in the upper ponds if there's still a bad mosquito problem?
