I see this more as the scoring of a promo (it's only 1:43 after all) as opposed to a more indpendent music track, and in that context it's fine. I kind of enjoyed it too.

And yes, I could name off a bunch of electronic artists as well.. what if Plaid or Amont Tobin got their hands on scoring the film? Hmm.. would VNV Nation be up to the task? Screw it.. go with Curly M.C. and let Enigma score it.

Daft Punk is a good pick, they have a thing for using very old samples in their music.. and this movie hails from a very retro-film. ...did you notice the piece from the original score resampled into this music?
