Help Choosing Video Editing Software (Howto Talk Post)

One Woman Disney Acapella

UC Davis Pepper Spray Incident, Four Perspectives at Once.

reading comments on this incident, I learned about the technical term for a concept of escalating use of force, and while those in the military or LEO may know, this was interesting to read for me:

http://www.nij.gov/topics/law-enforcement/officer-safety/use-of-force/continuum.htm

Great video editing... shouldnt there be an app for this kind of simultaneous stitching based on audio?

I believe one of the claims for the use of force here was the inability of officers to leave the situation, and feeling threatened... yet he manages to easily walk over the line and among all non-violent observers.

Charlie Rose: Chris Hedges & Amy Goodman on OWS pt.1

I'm loving this interview. Is it possible to find a version of this that has the audio synchronized with the video?

edit: Apologies. Looks like it fixes itself later in the video...

Hold on son, you're about to be schooled by the master.

Shocking Police Behaviour OccupyMELBOURNE!

Yeah, I have to ask what is so shocking. When the cop in NYC maced the girl who was already behind the police net and offering no resistance, I would call that shocking. Based on this edited video these police officers LOOK TO BE dispersing people who refused to disperse after being ordered to.
Of course you have to yank or drag someone who goes limp or links arms and refuses to cooperate. How else do you move someone like that from point A to point B? And the woman screaming at :08 comes across more like someone freaking out and resisting rather than someone actually being hurt by the police.
We all should know by now the magic of video editing can leave out all context, reality TV is based on it. This comes across more like a viral ad for The Herald Sun than some shocking footage of police overreaction.

As far as Australian law goes (pretty sure the US is similar), the cops are allowed to use equal and proportionate force to complete their duties. I don't see truncheons, I don't see pepper spray, I don't see stun guns/tasers, people being slammed face first in to the ground etc.

Yes, people have a right to protest, but with rights come responsibilities. As far as public opinion goes, these guys might have garnered more sympathy if our banking sector had emulated Wall St's screw ups. How unfortunate for them that Australia didn't trigger the GFC or even suffer that badly because of it... \8 |

Republicans: Pro-Life or Pro-Death?

bcglorf says...

Oh, and worst off, the clip where Ron Paul gets called out makes it look as though it's the moderator calling him out. The reality was it was another of his fellow candidates calling him out. Hiding that behind video editing just to make it seem like the candidate were all 'pro-death' is grossly dishonest. BOO!

Speak up Mint, I can't hear you... (Is there audio in this video?)

Sorry no.. After my cell phone camera made it sound like I had the mother of all lisps, and I developed an accent about 10 times thicker than my normal one, I decided to mute the clips and go for subtitles.

Sorry That I did not add any music or anything, but this was my first time ever using a video editing software, and getting the subtitles on was enough for now

Thanks everybody for the votes

Lol, I just finished cooking and TRYING to tape my succotash. Obviously my cell phone mic sucks, since it sounds like I have a lisp! I have an accent yes, lisp no! And I have not even unzipped a video editing software to put this together, let alone figured out how to use it.

You might end up having a very weird pathetic cooking video, but damn it, I am going to get those 15 bonus entries for a walk-through cooking demo!

You have been warned!
