Thank you! I thought the previous *promote should've undiscarded it, after your previous fix.... anyway, your intervention is appreciated.

Discarded posts don't show up in the front page listing. I will have to make siftbot halt if you try to quality a discard posts.

I'm going to make a special exception and manually make this queued so it will show up.

OK, the annoying blond with the fivehead now has a reserved seat on the one-way mission to Mars I am funding. I've got Tim McGraw and Faith Hill as pilot and co-pilot, and this woman can be the crew oceanographer.

She is truly atrocious by any measure.

Dixie Chicks Landslide

deathcow says...

I've always thought the Dixie Chicks should be somehow honored with one way trips into space. Personally, I think the pilot and co-pilot of the voyage should be Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, but the Dixie Chicks would make fine engineers and science officers. Listen, this is important, we must make damn SURE there is not enough fuel for a return trip.

Madonna "Frozen" has a nice ring to it. But really I fantasize about freezing Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in carbonite, and then sending them into solar orbit. It would also be OK to send Faith and Tim on the first human Mars trip, and then have the heaters fail and freeze them that way.

Tim McGraw: If you're reading this (I'm already home)

ksalvatore says...

I heard this song for the first time the other day when I was driving around with my dad. I don't normally listen to the radio anymore, but my dad always does. He heard the beginning of it and said that it was a good song and so I turned it up, and I nearly cried. I'm in the Air Force and it made me think of all my brothers and sisters at arms overseas. It also made me think of my husband, who's also in the Air Force. I just hope and pray that I don't end up playing this song in memory of him. This song has really touched me, like I'm sure that it's touched many others. This has instantly become one of my favorite songs. Tim McGraw really did an amazing job with this one.
God Bless,

Tim McGraw: If you're reading this (I'm already home)

I was blessed to hear Tim McGraw's new song, "If You're Reading This", for the first time today. I usually stay abreast of new song releases, but have not recently because most of time I am outside gardening. After hearing the first verse, I just sat down and cried for all of our young men who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan. When the song was complete, I said a prayer for our soldiers overseas, for the ones who were killed, and for their families. I prayed for the quick resolution of the civil wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan so that no more of our young men will have to die.

As a writer of over 1600 songs, I have to say "If You're Reading This" ranks as the best song that I have heard in a very long time. May Tim McGraw be blessed 10,000 fold for this great song and tribute to our young soldiers.

God Bless,
Roy Denton
