Jack Black & Fallon recreate "More Than Words" Music Video
My oldest brother fancies himself as a guitar player, and EVERYTIME he covers something, this is one of the three songs he plays, and wants someone to sing with him. It's basically the same as me picking up a bass guitar and playing Tom Sawyer, except I stopped doing that 30 years ago because nobody wants to hear you play the same thing everytime you play.
Now everytime he does it, people loudly groan in disgust. lol

Thievery Corporation - Take My Soul
Loulou Ghelichkhani, she sings at least three songs on this album. I've no idea how many more on other albums, but she's definitely worked with them more than once.
Lovely girl, and a beautiful voice.
Bruce Springsteen Joins A Busker To Sing One Of His Songs
I fixed the dead one with a clip that shows all three songs he sang with the busker.
The River begins at 2:10
I could have used tubechop.com to isolate just the River part, but I thought it was more fun to have all three songs in one clip.
If anyone has a problem with this approach, let me know and I'll tubechop this down to the original vid.

Playlist (Blog Entry by choggie)
>> ^KnivesOut:
God this is fucking horrible. Autoplay sucks enough as it is, but this page is loading itself recursively, and ends up playing three+ songs at once.
Sounds like a personal problem....

Hmm! Yes, it's working now. Gave me a 'this video is not available' the second time I started watching it.
Maybe youtube is 'updating' again.

Looks like they killed the Wright video while I was watching it
I posted portions of the three songs -- not the full songs. But the video still works for me.

SNL Jorm Dancing Backstage
The audoence got a mini-concert after the show that wasn't broadcast. Lucky bastards.
Want to to know why Arcade Fire ran off the stage during the closing credits of "Saturday Night Live" last night?
Because, in something that is apparently rarely done at Studio 8H, they played a mini-concert for the audience. Making up the front row of the 3-song set was Seth Meyers, Amy Poehler, Fred Armisen, Bill Hader and Andy Samberg, all looking absolutely transfixed by this band. The Fire has some high-powered fans, for sure, and converted a good chunk of the audience last night as well.
It's odd that my highlight of the show happened off-camera-- at the end of their three-song set, they played "Wake Up", off the stage and in the audience. Amazing. The cameras were rolling, I'm hoping this appears somewhere.
Also a funny tidbit: Five seconds before the show went back live for Arcade Fire's second song, Rainn Wilson looked at lead singer Win Butler and, in a very deadpan voice, asked what happened to his guitar (he had smashed it during their first song). Ha.

If you love Leadbelly check out Three Songs By Leadbelly, on YouTube. And check out "Pick a bale of cotton" sifted by NickyP.
Huddie William Ledbetter (January 23, 1888 - December 6, 1949) was an American folk and blues musician, notable for his clear and forceful singing, his virtuosity on the twelve string guitar, and the rich songbook of folk standards he introduced. He is best known as Leadbelly or Lead Belly (see below).
Although his most commonly-played instrument was the twelve string, he could also play the piano, mandolin, harmonica, violin, concertina, and accordion. In some of his recordings, such as in one of his versions of the folk ballad "John Hardy", he performs on the accordion instead of the guitar.
The topics of Lead Belly's music covered a wide range of subjects, including gospel songs, blues songs about women, liquor, racism, folk songs about cowboys, prison, work, sailors, cattle herding, dancing, and songs concerning the newsmakers of the day, such as President Franklin Roosevelt, Adolf Hitler, the Scottsboro Boys, and multi-millionaire Howard Hughes.

Thanks man - I never even knew this existed.

The Verve - Lucky Man (UK version)
yes. Except I've already declared my undying devotion to the other vid. This one's good too though.

Although something special about this song that is that it's one of the three songs I've happened to have my mom listen to and criticize... weirdly. For Lucky Man her comment was something along the lines of "they sound like hollering/yodelling shepherds (in a bad way)".
Good times.
