Picking up a Hammer on the Moon
No need to go through the whole Newtons things... easier to keep it all in kg since that's how we think anyway. So on the moon, astronaut + suit = 100/6 = 17 kg. Only about 40 lbs... So an astronaut should have no problem doing a pushup there.
As I said, probably more to due with the awkward, pressurized suits.
However, the jumping part... well, that's a puzzle to me why they aren't able to jump higher since I don't see any mechanical disadvantage. It's one of the arguments for the 'fake moon landing' thing.
However, if the moon surface were 'spongy' then it would be like trying to jump out of a barrel of mud.
Re: conspiracy thing... Alternative 3 claims that Apollo astronauts went to the moon, but discovered the bases that had already been there and were threatened/sworn to silence. Curiously, Neil Armstrong became a public recluse after his career as an astronaut, rarely giving interviews or talking about his experience.
However, if you believe the 'we never went to the moon at all' version, the claim is that NASA hired Stanley Kubrick to film the fake moon landing thing based on his realistic looking 2001.
Though while were at it if that astronaut and suit weight say 100kg...
11 Occasions That Don't Call For A Selfie
I don't think I've ever taken a selfie, so I don't necessarily want to be in the position to have to defend them, but if it's good enough for Stanley Kubrick...

I despise the whole concept of s****** (I can't even type the word). There was a time when you would have been ridiculed for taking so many pictures of yourself. Or been advised to seek professional help. Just as bad as seeing people's washed-out bloated faces doing their webcam monologues. If only iPhones would shoot pepper spray when they detected a s*****.
Miley Cyrus' Video Without the Music is Some Crazy Shit!
Props for that David Lynch tag. I was thinking Stanley Kubrick, but it wasn't quite right.

What's the music in this? I used to remember the name.
"Lux Aeterna," from the soundtrack for Requiem for a Dream, by Clint Mansell.
Seems like overkill that someone had to add a coir and symbols. Wasn't it epic enough to begin with? Still, nice montage.
Oh, I missed that. This is actually Requiem for a Tower, then, the version re-done for the Two Towers trailer.

Damnit, now I have to go watch 2001, the Shining, Clockwork Orange and Full Metal Jacket again (not a big fan of Eyes Wide Shut or Barry Lyndon).

Whither Strangelove and Lolita?
Pink Floyd - Mudmen (de La Vallée)
I like the Pink Floyd soundtracks ('La Vallee' and 'More'), mostly because it was music of an era and so unlike anything before or since...
(Little known 'rumour' is that the 23-minute epic on the B-side of the Meddle album, Echoes, was composed to serve as a soundtrack to the final sequence of Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" -- entitled Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite. A different song was ultimately chosen for the film, but one can, if one was so inclined, cue up the song at the title card for this sequence and notice how nicely it fits with the psychedelic imagery of this portion of the movie.... Not so unlike Dark Side & the Wizard of Oz).
the watchmen-and then all that was left was rorschach
I really just didn't get the point of making that movie. I fail to see what it added to an artwork that was perfectly fine in its original medium.
A truly visionary director, the likes of Terry Gilliam or Stanley Kubrick, might have revealed some new insight. Snyder just translated the pages onto screen and in a predictable manner at that, and the whole "graphic novel on screen" was already done by Rodriguez, so it wasn't even that technically impressive. The one part of the movie that worked was the title sequence

I really wish someone put Pedobear hiding in a crater to mess with people.
