Crake says...

I'm not sure what to respond to that, having related so heavily to Crake... hmmm... i don't know who would make a good crake though... I suppose it would depend on who played Snowman. and Oryx (Shannyn Sossammon? except she doesn't act very well).

Also, the dancing, indigo-penised crakers would definitely never make it to film.

He would make a good Crake. I'd love to see a movie version - even though they'd have a hard time doing it justice.

Well I can never help relating to the young brooding villain.

Except if he's played by Hayden Christensen.

Snow! (Blog Entry by dotdude)

@ swampy - The snow hung on until evening. The snow on My lawn took longer to melt than other lawns on my block. Been there, done that on snowman - back 1973. I haven't decided on snow dot art, yet.

@ bill - I went with a Volvo wagon because it's really a wagon. What the other car manufacturers call wagons now are too short for my art display boards. Also, I need the solid flat space for art transport.

This video was embed disabled, so I'm posting a link here. It shows photos taken around the city last Thursday.

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

I think I identify more with Snowman. Waiting for the Pigoons and Rakunks to get me.

In reply to this comment by Crake:
Exactly!

I thought Crake was the coolest character ever, so I stole the name.

I promise not to bring about the apocalypse though

In reply to this comment by dag:
Do you like Margaret Atwood? That was a fantastic book.

In reply to this comment by Crake:
my question is the same as i asked after watching The Matrix: Couldn't they just have the Moon?
Lots of silicon, lots of sunlight, no pesky corrosive oxygen or water.

Work is for suckers. Quit, then sift full time. You can probably do it for two solid months before your house goes into foreclosure. Food for thought.

Stop in whenever you can, buddy.

Yeah, with my new job and location I've sort of become more of a lurker. I appreciate the support, though, and good to hear from you.

In reply to this comment by kronosposeidon:
It's good to see you back, Mr. Snowman! Don't go disappearing on us again.

Congrats on the gold-100; you're like the zifnab of sifting!

Here's a song I wrote some time ago, which is sort of appropriate and shameless self promotion. (Poetry ftw, is what I hear.)

Snowman's Dream
Am Dm C E
It's cold outside in this wintertime
I have the lights within my sight
Dm C G Am
I hear a newborn baby cry
Dm Am E Am
And with the sound I close my eyes

The chill has gone from off my bones
I finally feel that I am home
My mother and my father is here
They're spreading feelings and good cheer

Am-A Dm C G Am (B-part)
My love is here and burns so near
Dm Am E Am
And gone is fright and all of my fears

I see the snowman I've become
I sense the wintertime is goin'
Your love is all I ask of you
And to your light I will be true

Am-A Dm C G Am (B-part)
I'll take away your fear and fright
And lull you into the dream of night
Compell you to stay here with me
And see all of the things I see

-- Solo-something (verse-chords) --

You come from overhead the clouds
And take away all of my doubts
You lull me into a brightened daze
Your love and warmth is your embrace

(B-part)
Your light has melted all my dreams
I feel your love surrounding me
You're near and dear and in my sight
Our ending word is a wet, whispered goodbye

Way to go. Keep up the great posts.

Don't bleed to death or melt. Not a fitting end for a snowman on the Sift. Stay out of the sun and don't vacation in the Carribean. Pressure dressings keep the bleeding at bay.
