I'd have hit the ejection seat button on the little bugger long before we got to "It's a Small World". Or better yet, right after.

It sounds like a bunch of Videosift regulars are from the SF bay area. I grew up in SJ, worked at NASA/Ames for a few years, had friends at Berkeley and IBM research and Cisco and Apple and... yeah, small world.

Okay, I have to remove two sins from this one.

First the one assigned for the elephant graveyard as they exist.

Second the one assigned for "It's a Small World After All" when they say "Annoying Disney tune was around even in the time Africa existed" as I'm fairly sure Africa still exists... even if it's a joke, then take the point off with a "Oh wait... it still does, point back".

Life lessons garnered:

"YOU can paint a picture."

You don't need to "go to school half your life."
You don't need to be "blessed by Michelangelo at birth."
You don't need 1500 colors. 8 will do.
"You just need a dream in your heart and some practice."

Your base needs to be firm. "If you start with a thin, loose paint, you're going to become a mud-mixer."

Large strokes live in your mind. Details live in your brush. "You just need to push them out."

Don't lose the trees for the forest. Think about the small world that lives in your painting and it will be much richer. "This is where they live [these creatures]... In these bushes"

Painting will teach you to look at Nature and see things that have been there all your life, and you've never noticed. "Look around, look at what we have. Beauty is everywhere."

"In the time you sit around worrying about it and trying to plan a painting, you could have completed a painting already. Let it happen."

"We need dark in order to show light."

Small world, I watched the whole video and then realized I met this fellow a few years ago, he was at BlackBerry way back at the start and now can have fun like this all day, lucky guy!

Playing the race card, again, you are truly pathetic. What a small world you live in.

If this is what Disney's upcoming live-action "It's a Small World" contains, it might actually make some money.

That is easily the most beautiful "small world" (or polar) panorama video I've ever seen.

So.. um.. I've met about 4 people in this film... small world.

King of Tokyo, Zombicide, Escape, Mansions of Madness, BSG the Board Game, Mice and Mystics (great co-operative game), X-Wing Miniatures game, Android: Netrunner (perhaps best 2 player game out there), Arkham Horror are just a few of the better games on my board game shelf... want to try 7 Wonders and many others... I play Small World, Forbidden Island, Eclipse, Ascension, and Summoner Wars on my iPad
Catan is a decent game, and does well as a gateway (I think Ticket to Ride is better, and perhaps even Pandemic)...

And yeah. I'm with Lann -- skillful really seems warranted. I have never seen a cake built like that. An amazing combination of innovation and art and... cake.

And Deano is right to toss out a lot of the skillful stuff that ends up on his channel. Don't agree with him on this one, though.

Stuff other than hydrogen and helium is only 2% of the universe, and yet, most of the interesting chemistry happens in that 2%, and biological systems are even more complex than just raw chemistry, so we are both trivially small percent, but a very complex and interesting percent!
