I spend some other online time over at a citizen journalism site... anyways, he stole my thoughts exactly, but I love how they make the chart site seem like it is scouring millions of blogs and computing a score. It really is some dude posting the top views from YouTube, Google, etc.

I did get something out of that site, we need more MySpace and yahoo vids posted.


The Cnet article does point out something very important. If you read the article about Dogster and Catster, then you will know that after awhile markets move towards niche communities, so I think it is very critical for this site to provide for that growth of niche, ie. music video sifting and political videos, etc.

As too much information begins to overwhelm people like Top Videos on YouTube which is total crap, sites like this one or even forums will pop up that provide links to the good content. Usually communities pop-up around interests. Like kittens, or slap guitar forums.

on second thought, it would have to involve TV ads, slap guitar, music video, and japanese gameshow.
