The project has started….and at the same time the actual removal project has been delayed until next year (at the earliest).

This project made sense 20+ years ago when the movement began and should have been completed then. What they also love to ignore is the eradication of our international pandemic response teams that had been stationed in countries world wide including China before Trump closed their offices, and they would have been on scene in September when the first cases were discovered not only to definitively identify the source, but to start efforts to combat it 8 months earlier that the Trump administration did. That could have completely prevented the pandemic, and would have offered the opportunity to properly respond well before it came to America, saving well over a million American lives and up to $16 TRILLION dollars.

Undeveloped India is going to largely dissolve before they advance technologically. Over 2/3 of the water in that region comes from glaciers….glaciers in many cases expected to be gone completely by 2030. That’s almost 2 billion people suddenly with no water source. There is no technological way to replace that amount of water, never mind the money and energy. I think that word indicates the completion of a solution to a problem.
They mean simply beginning to address the problem, sometimes just agreeing there IS a problem.
Don’t get me wrong, all these are *quality steps in the right direction, but very few were actually solutions by any stretch.

This is far from the first time Klamath River dam removal has been scheduled for “next summer” only to be delayed time and time again. This has stretched out for so long that a few species of salmon the removal was supposed to save are no longer detected in the river. Multiple drought years and heat waves paired with mismanagement and neglect have spawned multiple full river toxic algae blooms making the water poisonous even for swimming, lots of dead dogs, lots of dead and sick wildlife, millions of dead fish.
It wouldn’t surprise anyone if new challenges to removal are started based on that alone, further delaying removal until all strains are gone.
20 years ago the Klamath was a world class salmon river, today it’s often closed to fishing even for native tribes that subsistence fish to survive.
I hardly consider another new projected project START date for the multi year 4 stage removal project to be “problem solved”. After that part is finished, massive river long restoration STARTS. If that can be successful at all, it takes decades and mountains of cash.

It was clear to all that peaceful protests outside would not “stop the steal”, another thing he instructed the crowd was imperative to “save our country”.
Clearly that’s not the only phrase he used that indicated he, and his people, wanted violence. “Trial by combat”, “take your country back”, “stop the steal” all imply the same call to violence, especially when delivered to his rabid, well armed, ready to get “wild” crowd.
While this does rise to the level of incitement, it does not create a legal shield that they were acting on legal orders from the president as many have claimed in court.

It’s also been made public that Trump tried to give a blanket pardon to every insurrectionist….indicating he knows it was a criminal insurrection because you can’t pardon innocent people….also indicating he believed it was only his rabid supporters there, because he would never consider pardoning ANTIFA activists (that weren’t there) for one picosecond.

All that work just to slap his brother down... can just save the energy (and the floor) by just flinging manure.
