Top Ten Things Overheard At Sarah Palin's Farewell Party

I need a hobby (Blog Entry by rottenseed)

Hawkinson says...

Learn to cook. Or if you already cook, cook more often. If you need motivation watch Robert Rodriguez' '10 minute cooking school' special feature on the "Once upon a Time in Mexico" DVD. and I quote: "Not being able to cook is like not being able to fuck."

For the fundamentals, buy "How to Cook Everything" or "How to Cook Everything Vegetarian" by Mark Bittman, it covers the main ingredient groups (grains, meats, fruits, etc), recipe types (soups, breakfasts, pies, etc), and equipment.

I LOVE weekends because I can start they day with something awesome like a quiche or stuffed crepes, start some bread dough, go to a farmers market and supermarket/butcher for fresh ingredients, make a nice salad/sandwich for lunch (left over roast beef and sauerkraut, yum), do some errands (or bake a pie with fresh fruit), and finish the day with a nice oven roast (pork loin or beef rib roast with veggies), fresh bread and wine.

Fleeing Suspect + L.A. Cops + Face-kick = High Five

chilaxe says...

The perp was a gangbanger piece of shit, but the law needs to protect even pieces of shit.

When you put tattoos on your face, it's a pretty safe bet you've chosen to exit cooperative society.

LAtimes:

The decision by an El Monte [Los Angeles county] police officer to kick the head of a suspect who was surrendering at the end of a televised pursuit was roundly criticized by use-of-force experts Thursday as an inexcusable and unnecessary tactical lapse.

But on the streets of El Monte and nearby communities, the reaction was less unanimous. Though some said the officer should not have kicked 23-year-old Richard Rodriguez, many said they feel no sympathy for the parolee and known gang member. Some said he deserved the kick for leading police on a dangerous chase.

"He spoke to my frustration over gang members," said Hector Trujillo, 48, who owns a liquor store in Pico Rivera, where the chase ended. "The rule of law says it's not right, but with [gang members] you just don't know what to expect."

WTC - Multiple explosions documented

bcglorf says...

>> ^Constitutional_Patriot:
All the first hand accounts from people like Mr. Rodriguez, the firefighter testimony and the journalists seem to quantify the existence of explosives being set off.
Are you truth debunkers saying that these people don't know what they saw, felt and heard even though they were giving eyewitness accounts at ground zero? If we can't believe those who were able to escape being victims of this heinous act then we should just take a quasi-government controlled agency at it's word? I think not.

Your argument only makes sense if witness accounts are reliable in telling the difference between concrete supports being crushed beneath 50 stories of skyscraper and explosives being set off at the exact same time. If you go watch other footage and witness accounts you won't hear a consistent story of all the witnesses talking about secondary explosives going off. The consistent story is panic and confusion, basing the entire argument on selected witness statements is weak in the extreme.

Ever been in a fender bender? Try and get the same story from the witnesses even for something that straightforward and relatively non-traumatic, you'll find it's the exception. For 9/11 any sane person should expect the witness accounts to vary infinitely more.

For 9/11 we have a huge stock of footage showing the collapse, and not a ONE shows any explosions on the floors beneath until after the top floors have started crashing down. The shear weight of those floors SHOULD cause the floors beneath them to blow out explosively.

Curious. Particularly the testimony of the likes of William Rodriguez. But let's not forget about all the transformers around ground zero. Hundreds of them in fact. And no, I'm not implying that the destruction of the WTC building were caused by robots in disguise.

Bad Taste cliff scene

Pushkill says...

yup! its seriously one of the best low budget films, I think it ties with El Mariachi (listen to the commentary by Robert Rodriguez on the El Mariachi dvd, its basically a how-to of no money film making, its great!) I saw Dead Alive before I saw Bad Taste, so it holds a special place just above this film, but they are close! I still can't keep laughing about the cardboard Beatles cutouts and the skull flap! This movie has some great scenes in it! I think the only PJ film I am not excited about pre-lotr was The Frighteners.

Not too sure.. the dark subdued male vocals I think.. river of deceit? its been years : ) but something from those songs came to mind. Having a hard time finding it here now. River of Deceit is a great song by Mad Season (just listened to it again)

thanks for the promotes:)!Just listened to Mad Season, didn't know them before, ..which track reminds you most of the Mount Sims track? They indeed have a kind of dark melancholic sound, but quite rocky..
