Songs to, erm... 'become intimate with someone' to (Sexuality Talk Post)
Like I said, it depends on the mood. Plump DJs is hardly romantic. It's for those time when you would describe it as fucking, not making love (though still with someone you're in love with, of course .
There's some other techno remixes that are pretty sexy.
not the mix I would use, but here's a decent example (probably worth stopping at 3:30, especially if you're at work!):
Roger Sanchez's remix of "Hella Good" is another (I actually didn't hear the original of this tune until fairly recently, and it is not nearly as good).
Of course, with electronica, you'll generally have to mix the songs, not just copy them together.
And, don't forget things like Ravel's Bolero, Clair du Lune, and all those other sexy/romantic classical pieces.
Really, the list of music that is bad for intimacy is probably much shorter. What music works really depends on who you're with and the mood. Even stuff like The Grateful Dead, or Benny Goodman, or NIN would work with the right partner.

yeah. i remember my dad telling me that Ravel had widely admitted that it was a rush job, and not his most imaginative work.
but hey. it's catchy.

bless Blake Edwards' gin-soaked old heart.
Maurice Ravel - Bolero
"To the general public, Ravel is probably best known for his orchestral work, Boléro, which he considered trivial and once described as "a piece for orchestra without music."
great quote. from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maurice_Ravel
Oh What a World--Rufus Wainwright is awesomely over the top
heh. they used Ravel's Bolero for the background.
that's what the orchestra's playing, from 2:42 til the end.

Thank you! I just want it to sift so much because I saved it. I didn't want my save to be in vain. Thanks again, friend!

Conan the Barbarian - Battle at Thulsa Doom's Temple
This section of Pouledouris' score always reminded me of Ravel's Bolero.
Allegro non troppo (1h 20min)
"Allegro non troppo is a Bruno Bozzetto animated film released in 1977. The film is a parody of Disney's Fantasia, though possibly more of a challenge to Fantasia than parody status would imply. In music, an instruction of "allegro ma non troppo" means to play "fast, but not overly so". In the context of this film, and without the "ma", it means Not So Fast!, an interjection meaning "slow down" or "think before you act" and refers to the film's pessimistic view of Western progress (as opposed to the optimism of Disney's original).
The film features six classical pieces:
Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune by Claude Debussy
Slavonic Dance No. 7 by Antonín Dvořák
Boléro by Maurice Ravel
Valse Triste by Jean Sibelius
Concerto in C Major by Antonio Vivaldi
The Firebird by Igor Stravinsky
The classical pieces are set to color animation, ranging from comedy to deep tragedy. At the beginning, in between the animation, and at the end is black and white live action film, displaying the (well, not the actual) animator, orchestra, conductor, and filmmaker, with many humorous scenes about the (again, not actual) production of the film."

Finally, additional props to sometimes for posting the sad cat segment of this intriguing movie.
Amazingly Long Rollerblade Grinds
That was Ravel's Bolero, no? Nice choice.
