I don't think I have ever gotten to the end of one of those compilations -- I start watching because some "fail" videos are funny without serious harm being involved. But the compilations mostly seem to toss in something that makes me quickly shut 'er down.

And of course -- sexist/racist "jokes". Louis CK has a potty mouth of the nth degree -- doesn't bother me. I love him, because he tells the truth. The man has told a funny rape joke! Who thought that was even possible before he figured out how to do. Sexist/racist crap is lies and ugliness.

If he wants credibility, he probably should have made this video when you noticed it, not after going home, calling them, waiting for a reply, and being denied. He also probably should post the video in better resolution than 144p. It's hard to tell if it's even in the same writing and/or color with this terrible quality, so impossible for me to decide if I think he's a liar that did it himself and posted it in low res to hide that, or if I think he actually had this happen to him. I hope others will also reserve judgement until better evidence one way or the other surfaces....although I see the poster has made his opinion clear with the tags. EDIT: OK, there is clear evidence out there that this was a fraud, see below.

All that said, it wouldn't be surprising in Austin. Yes, there are many tolerant people there, but still plenty of intolerant people for this to not be out of the question.

This was basically a suicide attempt [Edit: Leaving for posterity, but later information indicates he was just a badass]. He didn't even move when it was clear that odds were likely that the tornado was absolutely going to hit him. I'm not sure what protective measures his wife took, but this guy at the very least could have moved away from the window and got into a tub or something.

Yeah... I think the one poster that some other guy did is a better representation. Some odd CGI choices here to, no textures, but let's put high gloss reflections and water reflections. Lists like this will always leave questions on why wasn't ship A included, like the one from Aliens, they include several Babylon 5 ships but not the station itself. Lots of focus on ships from the Halo series, Eve Online, etc... and yeah, some of the scales seemed off compared to what I thought.

Of course far better than anything I could have done.

Oh and yeah @ChaosEngine , I really need to finish the Culture series. I've only read the first one so far. Aside from one fan fiction short (http://videosift.com/video/Something-Real) I haven't seen the series addressed yet.
