^I made it out of poster board for my Sift viral video - but in the end didn't use it - and went for the awesome LucasArts/Weta digital effects instead.

Of course both the digital and paper tool bar are the old YouTube version. I may have to "re-imagineer" the video with the new bar. Kind of like when Burton redid Planet of the Apes - only with more strangely hot chimp ladies.

You can't tell me you honestly believe you can't walk into court with a poster board written in big letters the embed code, and say judge, this is all that was hosted on my website. It was from youtube, the largest website on the internet, owned by one of the largest companies on the internet (have your ever heard of 'google', judge?). It wasn't some secret way to find infringing videos. This lawyer asshat on the opposing bench is abusing DMCA and should be fined for tortious interference and prevented from ever filing DMCA claims again until an independent 3rd party reviews their DMCA take down request from now on.

I can't imagine they can claim contributory copyright infringement when google and YT have mechanisms to make the video "no longer available" and this site staff does not "post" these video submission or have any control over what content shows up on the frontpage, but is open to any person to post and no videos are actively selected or rejected by admins (except in the case of illegal or offensive content).

What happens when corporation start making a living at doing this full time. You will get DMCA request for everything and good luck finding out if they are legal content holder, or even filed legal request and aren't just spamming any old video they think they can. it will become full time.. so just let them keep sending letters.

Just reply with form letters, please contact youtube where the video is hosted as they have mechanisms to verify DMCA takedown request. Thank you have a nice day.
