OK, so what does this make this TV series popular? I watched a few clips, but they don't hit me.


Well, we worked our asses off for five years on that show. Basically our motto was "Myazaki every two weeks". We tried to do in two weeks what Myazaki/Ghibli took two years to create.

I think the stories, the arching narratives, the art direction, and obviously the hi-intesity and wicked kung-fu sequences were/are something that has never been produced in the US animation market. But this is why we also used Japanese animation studios, instead of Korean or Phillipine studios. (we did character setups here, the rest of the in-betweens were done overseas). The Japanese studios have a certain grace in what they do, and I hope it shows through on-screen.

The show is not for everyone, and even I get sick of some of the dialogue and cutesy girly stuff here and there. But, I think what we managed to pull-off with a TV production budget was pretty astounding.

Dirt - Muslim (Islam) is not a race, it is a religion (or cult). There are Muslims of many, many ethnic types, as there are Arabs (and "Palestinians" of both various Muslim and Christian sects.

I am well versed in many aspects of Western Civilization and culture, as well as other cultures. This allows me to eexamine much of the same empirical evidence, and dran different conclusions than you and the "me too" crowd. You will benefit from this Diversity of Opinion.

I am emphatically not racist, I recognize abject evil, and will continue to point it out in the actions and policies of Hamas. The moral equivalence you espouse is a twisting of logic around a dark core of emptiness.

but terrorism/jihad has been a tool long before we invaded iraq. infact iraqis were not really players in the terror game until we invaded. so yes, in the case of the insurgents in iraq, its certainly a "get the fuck out of our country you american pig". but outside of that and long before that its been a tool to exploit the poor to do the bidding of the fanatical. and its worldwide. like an al queda cell attacked a small fishing village in the phillipines (that my friends wife and baby live in) and decapitated 4 people about 2 months ago. ... and speaking of propaganda machines.. why dont we hear about this in the us?

but you are right, we need to get of their country, rethink our position on israel, denounce the war on terror as an excuse for abuse after extensive abuse, and focus our efforts towards a war on poverty... or maybe not a war... maybe a... "poverty conflict" or... "military social agenda"? .. ah fuck it.. wed just screw it up anyway.

Here is another inventor in the Phillipines that converted a car to use sea water. He states in this video that he was about to be funded by his government but there was a coup d'etat and there was an agreement with the IMF and the World Bank not to produce anything that would compete with them on energy.
