Kitty heaven
What's the cat on the left doing at 1:21? I've seen this front paw movement in cats before but never found an explanation of what it might mean.
Helpful raccoon washes your things
I remember a raccoon at a zoo who was behind just a bars cage and young guy was goading him with his shiny keys. He let me try and the thing that stood out most was the paws were the softest. I've also seen them fight like crazy in a garbage bin so...why is one in a kitchen?
Helpful raccoon washes your things
I said they can feel more when dousing. The racoon is simply examining the items.
"Their paws contain highly developed nerves, and the water actually makes their paws more sensitive.
"Dabbling behavior in water is a fixed motor pattern in raccoons. Since only captive raccoons exhibit food-dousing behavior, scientists believe that washing food is simply a substitute for normal dabbling behavior, which has no other outlet in captivity,"

Feeling things underwater is what they do. Why do you imagine the owners have supplied the racoon with a water bowl full of toys? It is to occupy its attention.
But the Wikipedia paragraph you quote speaks only of them washing their food, not every single item they come across.
Maybe those owners have not been feeding it, or maybe it thinks it's an 'Apple' phone (Apple phones aren't waterproof so that makes it easy to identify them even (especially?) if you're a raccoon).

Why Tipping Should Be Banned
The forced tipping is USUALLY for larger tables. It isn't unheard of for someone to get 1/2 the tip of a four person table, even after all the extra work of a 12 person table. The larger the table, the worse the tip usually is (from a per person standpoint). People tend (I definitely don't) to think since EVERYONE else is tipping, they really don't have to. I've been out with a bunch of people I didn't really know, and after putting in a $5 tip (on appys and a pop), I went back and discovered the person who said "Just hand me the cash, I'll put it on my card." left a $4 tip. W.T.F. I gave her $10 and went out and publicly shamed the bastard. Turns out he didn't care and his friends were "used to it".
Oh and that tip-goes-in-the-pot thing is a company-enforced rule. Has nothing to do with taxes or the government. The business is probably sticking it's paws into the pot too.
Where in Canada do you live?? That must be a regional thing. In Toronto, tipping is decidedly not optional. It's pretty much the exact same custom as in the States here. I've never not tipped, and I've never heard anybody even contemplate not tipping unless the service is absolutely atrocious.
Cute 12 week old French Bulldog Puppy does Tricks
What a cutie!
Most dogs will learn amazingly quickly with positive reinforcement and no negative. I taught my golden retriever to open the back door, come in, and close the door on his own in two days. I never did get him to wash his own paws first, though.
Never Feed Your Cat Whipped Cream
I would have given them a little less. Dairy may be bad but it's more about the calorie intake. Most animals are lactose intolerant, but in that there are still many individuals of each species that handle milk fine. After that it's about the calorie intake. Our cats love milk, so occasionally I take a shot glass and fill it 1/4 of the way and let them paw the milk out. Never noticed any Diarrhea and I know the calories are around 8-10. Which is fine for them.

Cat Tries to Poop in Toilet
There's a complete lack of understanding in the cause and effect department with some cats. The cats we recently adopted don't grasp the purpose or function of covering their poop, so they will take a dump in the litter box and then scratch the wall nearby for seriously, sometimes, more than 30 minutes. They don't even touch the litter, but they'll paw away in futility, and then check if it still smells, and then go back to pawing. Fucking idiots, my cats.
