The Man Who Accidentally Killed The Most People In History

newtboy says...

When does the class action against all remaining parent companies of the ethyl company and his descendants start?

It only took one liar to create an unavoidable Idiocracy.

Note, this only mentions the effects on humans, but lead poisoning effects every kind of animal on the planet.

His name should be better known than Hitler, Pol Pot, and Mussolini combined….and more despised. What a douche bag.

MI Senator tells the truth in the face of a hateful lie

luxintenebris says...

“These are the people we are up against. Progressive social media trolls like Senator Mallory McMorrow (D-Snowflake) who are outraged they can’t teach can’t groom and sexualize kindergartners or that 8-year-olds are responsible for slavery,"

"Dear Lord, across the country we're seeing in the news that our children are under attack. That there are forces that desire things for them other than what their parents would have them see and hear and know," Theis said during the prayer.

compare the woman's speech above to the woman that made these comments.

truth versus hate.

debauchery: corruption, depravity, immorality, iniquitousness, iniquity...check, check, check, check and check.

drew the short straw on that, man.

Lol. Turns out the Florida book banning session by Desantis was based not on the books or anything in them, but a supplemental worksheet posted online by “Joe” that had clearly been edited poorly to add things like Maya Angelou being sexually abused by her parents to math problems. Not even remotely CRT even by the fake definition the right uses….but enough for Republicans to start book burning.

Actually the math part of it is before the blatantly fake non sequitur word problem, “Y equals X plus two, three X plus six Y equals 12. Angelou was sexually abused by her mother's blank at age eight, which shaped her career choices and motivation for writing.”

That’s the example given by Desantis to excuse the book bannings. It’s a blatant fake, a fake about math books in Missouri, not Florida.

Your people. Anti education, anti math, anti reality, anti truth. You must be proud.

Edit: I wonder how long it will take you to solve that 4th grade math problem. I’m embarrassed to say it took me over 2 seconds….including reading time.

Three-Minute Video Explaining the Common Core State Standard

newtboy says...

You came up before common core, so what’s your excuse?

CRT is another red herring….it’s a law school class misrepresented as a movement to teach white children their ancestors and parents are evil. Total nonsense the right created just to have something to be angry about.
Now the same people want to erase any mention of slavery, Jim Crow, segregation, red lining, etc as evil anti white “CRT”….banking on the idea that those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.

Not surprising to hear your support for modern day book burning.

My kids cam up though common core and it is a mess.

DeSantis is doing a fair job. Don't need CRT or other BS slanted course work.

Get back to basics

NEW! Try "NOT HAVING KIDS"

newtboy says...

If that were true for everyone, there would be no children in foster care.

It doesn’t take children to expand your limits, they just give you no choice. I found I can go weeks on < 5 hours sleep a night all by myself, I became more patient just by getting older, I’m more compassionate because I’m not a thoughtless teenager anymore, no child required. I also retained my sanity (what little I started with).
Sure there are some good times for the parents, but not so much for the public at large. Overall making more people with the massive glut of humanity that exists has a negative value. I wrote a thesis on this, called “the fallacy of the intrinsic value of human life”. Got an A. Horrified my writing class. Double win!!

SDGundamX said:

In most modern countries, having kids is the relatively easy part. Being a responsible parent, on the other hand....

But then again, overcoming the challenges (sleep deprivation included) are part of what make being a parent so rewarding. At least in my case, having kids made me a stronger and better person--I learned to be more patient and more compassionate, and I learned how to push beyond my supposed limits (I used to think I couldn't survive without 8 hours a night of sleep--HAH!).

No doubt it can be a struggle at times. My grandfather used to have a T-shirt that read, "Insanity is heredity: you inherit it from your kids."

But it also has those intense moments like your daughter singing the ABC song all by herself for the first time, or always belly laughing at the fart sound you make with your palms, or telling you she loves right before she goes to sleep that make all of the hassle completely worthwhile.

Stop Kowtowing to China | Real Time with Bill Maher

newtboy says...

I agree with the above, this is just a dumb racist argument. Gu rode for China by choice, both because her parents are Chinese and because it was an excellent opportunity for her.

Does the poster believe we shouldn’t have any foreign born athletes on the American team? That’s going to remove some top athletes, @bobknight33.

Also, fuck China, why is the IOC kowtowing to Russia, who should be completely banned from competition for the next 40+ years after their state sponsored doping scheme was caught, not allowed to compete under a slightly different name, not allowed to compete even after testing positive for performance enhancing drugs? Not denying many others a medal because there are serious questions about Russia cheating again, but having no consequences for Russia!

Fuck the olympics. They’re so past their prime, are a loser for host countries, aren’t a fair sports organization or even close, is rife with abuse, fraud, and scandal…etc. It’s time to quit them.

America isn’t close to genocide, Bill? What about our native populations, many now extinct and more relegated to worthless areas with no services or resources. Remember forced re-education? Relocation? Extermination? Cultural genocide? Religious persecution? WTF happened to Bill? You know there’s an issue if Bob is on your side. America did everything we accuse China of doing to the Wiegers and more, and continues to do so to this day.
BTW, Bill….Hong Kong is part of China legally and historically, unlike Taiwan and Tibet.

Reminds me a lot of the rule that you can’t criticize Trump without severe consequences.

A great example of why I have a front fence and a dog.
It wouldn’t surprise me one bit to hear that the kid’s parents sued the homeowner because their child got hurt on their property.
Stupider lawsuits have been successful.

Tesla’s TOTAL DOMINATION (new data)

newtboy says...

No, because I don’t think I should get to do business in America for free while the destitute pay taxes. It’s immoral and unethical. Period.

As a state government, it’s my duty to see that everyone gets equal treatment. Most states refused to give Musk tax free status.
Much like saying you can rent a room in your poor parents house, or you can stay there for free and just watch them struggle to eat and keep the lights on while you save up for your third Ferrari. I say it’s immoral to not pay them rent, you say it’s dumb to not take advantage.

Tx tax for Musk is 0%. Like saying if you can pay for service or get it and not pay, wouldn’t you walk away from your bill?

Austin has become a total shit show since Musk showed up. They REALLY could have used those taxes for uncountable things, starting with massive homelessness to police to crumbled roads to electrical and water systems that don’t quit in the cold….

No, if I were Musk, I would not do the same. I like America and don’t see it as a piggy bank to rob, Musk not so much? He would jump to China if they paid him enough, and you would cheer.

( as in Giga Texas) If you were to invest $10 billion and employ 20,000 workers for next 30 years, would you not shop around for the best location, taking into account taxes among other things?

As state would you want make that deal?

If Ca tax is 10% and TX is 5% would this not make one consider?

Land cost , local / state rates? The influx of people to your area would increase your tax base for decades.

If you were a Musk would you not do the same?

Baltimore high schoolers math, reading at grade school level

newtboy says...

I know….let’s cut public school funding and let some parents take more with vouchers that partially pay for private schools many can’t afford. That will solve it. Just have those neglected students pick themselves up by their bootstraps and just do better. Problem solved.

Public schools are awful, but the solution isn’t to just defund them. The solution is simple….more, and better teachers, and real standards for grade advancement. That requires more money.

Sandal? That's weak bruh. In my corner of the world, moms use folding chairs to whack us foul mouthed, disrespectful kids.

But yeah, it's our parents' rights eternal to put us to death whenever they please, LOL.

I’m shocked school age children really still believe in Santa. WTF!?! I told my parents I knew he wasn’t real when I was 5.
My mother still sends me gifts from Santa anyway even though I’m 51.
Do kids really believe in giant egg hiding rabbits too? I never did. What the hell, people.
One more reason to not lie to children. How many reasons do parents need?

Let's talk about a video for grown ups...

Interestingly, about 2 weeks ago one of my son's classmate's parents said pretty much this on the parents discussion group. The reaction was only mixed in that some parents have been doing this all along, and others thought it was a great idea and would start moving things that way.

The great thing about that is that it works class-by-class, mostly, and even if one kid does get a PS5 at least they're the outlier.

Personally, if I get my son something big for christmas, I want the credit for it, not some overfed figment 😁
