This is an interesting 'crossroads' period of time right now. The military achieved a 'moon landing' objective, and now everyone looks around and notices the billions it took and the things we didn't spend that money on (not to mention the domestic spying).

If nothing happens on U.S. soil to roil things up before the next election I can easily imagine 2nd-term Obama stumbling across his Constitution Law Prof. notes and going '... ooh yeah, thats right... I should probably work on quietly cleaning up this domestic spying thing.'

If something does happen,... we'll probably have predator drones patrolling the school yards of America.

Ooh yeah, it seems to be increasing... It has been brought up in the past, but the talk topic disappears off the main page, so no-one sees it again.

Ooh yeah I forgot about the geek.videosift.com definition, otherwise I would've mentioned it as well. It does seem to be a general trend to not include arts and literature, and then have separate categories ( seeing as one trademark would be the dedication to one thing and mere interest in others ). But it also comes down to how those things are approached. If it's some hip gossip without the down-and-dirty awesome details, can the article still be called geeky? Not in my opinion, but it seems to be such in other's.

I have another suggestion, this one cosmetic: make little Google-style "stars" appear around a video (say, the vote total box, around or above/below), one star per instance of the video being "favourited". Feasible? Cool-sounding?

I just imagine a popular vid having a big vote count *and* a ring/row of stars on it, like medals on a Communist general's chest...
