>> ^VoodooV:
online piracy is not stealing. Both are a crime, but a does not equal b.
different crimes, different punishments, different types of enforcement.
TWO SEPARATE THINGS!

And if SOPA passed I'd still be able to get free shit... I'm sorry Maher but as long as the internet exists online piracy isn't going to go away. You really want to chop the whole tree down with an axe of a legislation just for a few rotten apples?
VideoSift's SOPA/PIPA Response (Sift Talk Post)
Hooray the major News Outlets are reporting on it...oh wait they're all owned by major media corporations:

'SOPA just wants to stop awful sites like pirate bay, how can you be against that, they've got pirate right there in their name. Won't somebody please think of the
childrenpoor billion dollar corps that refuse to evolve with technology'EDIT: Removed hyperlink since it wasn't working properly, despite showing up properly in preview *shrug*.Okay apparently unnecessary to do that. Still odd preview is different from what actually gets displayed.

You know, the thing that pisses me off the most about SOPA is that Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Lamar Smith is always quick to point out that this bill mainly targets "foreign websites" as if somehow that makes it all OK.
This shows a real lack of understanding of the way the Internet works - and the increasing irrelevance of national borders. Hands up if you know where VideoSift's servers are.
Yep, in my room.
Crap.

If what he said is true, can I shut down google?
No, google owns too many Senators.

No problem. I know it seems hard to find a video that hasn't been duped already, and it still even happens to me sometimes. However after a while, if you keep posting videos regularly, I think you'll find that you'll get better and better at avoiding dupes. Keep on trying, bro.

Thanks for the heads up on the vid, it's been discarded. Sometimes sifting feels like trying to invent something, whatever you come up with someone else has probably beat you to it. Your best bet is to hope to be the first to come to market =)

A "bug" here Lucky. Failure to catch slightly altered source URL.
No matter how many times this has been brought before, nothing changes. See Lucky's previous response.
