This is why I hate political parties. They cloud our judgment because we selectively seek out information that supports our established opinions and the policies of our party. They tear our nation in two.

Let me just get this out of the way: I am not loyal to the Republican party. They're crazy! Why would anyone ever be okay with not giving basic human rights as outlined in our Constitution to prisoners? And we still allow the death penalty? And don't get me started on immigration. And why do good people allow these things to go on? Because the party creates a mob mentality that clouds not-so-common sense. And Democrats are just as bad. It's lunacy.

My point is that parties make it easy to blame the other guys whenever something goes wrong. Democrats currently feel very superior because they think that they can wash their hands of any mistakes made in the last eight years. It's like the war. Most Americans were fine with it at one point, but as soon as we ALL discovered that things weren't what they seemed, Democrats jumped back and have been saying, "that was all you guys" ever since. Intelligent Republicans felt just as disillusioned as Democrats did, but Republicans didn't have a convenient scapegoat. My advice is: Stop blaming other people and get to work.

The last joke was amusing, but George H. W. Bush was NOT loyal to Barbara. He had a long-term affair with Jennifer Fitzgerald from the time he was United States ambassador to China which continued while he was Vice President and then President.
