They are vintage instruments, and I don't believe your standard music shop will repair them. Sometimes a little bit of pitcy-ness in vintage instruments is considered charming and nostalgic, hence the popularity of out of tune upright pianos in indy music. Also, overblowing or underblowing can push the instrument sharp or flat. >> ^chingalera:

The group I was in used to cover 'Little Arithmetics'. At the time, I felt we were the only people in the U.S. who had ever heard of dEUS. I generally had to special order their albums as the music shops in my area didn't carry them.

Ah yes, the DIY album(2). Me favorite track is "Exposure". One of Pete's finest pieces.
As for the cutout bin, I think that they still have them. It has been some time since I trolled in the local music shops. Sometimes they wind up in the used bin.
