Didnt a police dog get loose and bite A BABY ... damn... you know lately im losing my fear of myself owning a firearm.. i really didnt think it was a good idea for me to have a lethal weapon... something is rapidly changing my mind and its not fear... its logic... there is too much crazy out there, so be prepared... i may need to shoot a dog someday, or a crazy person in a theater... i give up. i'll buy one. im not happy about it though.

I'm still waiting to hear the story about how an armed citizen prevented a shooting spree.

I'm not saying you shouldn't have a gun if you want one, but don't buy one thinking you're going to rescue someone one day. If you're really that afraid that you'll end up in that kinda situation, get a taser. That way if you make a mistake, at least you won't have killed someone.

edit: as i sit holding my kabar tdi last ditch knife, i realized it will suffice in nearly all SELF defense situations... i am trying to weigh my desire to live with my duty to protect those around me... i cant protect them from myself though and i still wonder how my perception of myself will change with the power of life and death in my hand... a gun is a tool ONLY in the right hands... are my hands steady enough for the responsibility?? will i conceal carry to boost my ego.. do i have the temperament to handle a conflict as though i have NO gun, when i do? ... maybe i should go small caliber and take some classes.... knife, fogging pepper spray, cell phone, gun... a one man army with no training except the internet and my fantasies... am i whats wrong with the world... it must be that pesky brain again.

Lethal Weapon 1- Opening scene (death wish)

No way this was in the original version, I don't remember any of it....

Maybe its a directors cut, I might of been watching the directors cut.

Yup, it's an extended scene from the DVD directors cut. We only had VHS in the 80s.

From Wikipedia: In addition to the theatrical release of the film, an extended "Directors Cut" version was released later on DVD. The Director's Cut version is longer (117 minutes) than the original theatrical release version (110 minutes), and features additional scenes. One notable extended scene includes Riggs dispatching a sniper who had been firing at children in a playground. Another noteworthy scene added to the Director's Cut is one in which Riggs picks up a street-walking prostitute, but instead of having sex with her, he takes her home to watch "The Three Stooges" on TV. This scene demonstrates his terrible loneliness after his wife was killed.

Worse, they haven't shown any evidence that it reduces violence in any circumstance. Like you said, counter-intuitive, but intuition is quite often wrong. >> ^GeeSussFreeK:

Very good TED.

Okay, something has to be done. It's time to take away their tasers.

Before Tasers have you heard of too many children and old people being assaulted by police officers? I say we take away their tasers...make them us WORDS and maybe they'll actually be a part of the community rather than just it's jailers.

He's merely portraying the cold emotionless response that an A.T.A.C. officer must employ when dealing with tragedies. It's the training. It forms you into a lethal weapon that reacts in a microsecond without thinking.

Thanks Dwight Shrute!

Zombies + Busty School Girls = Epic Mindless Boob Battle

skinnydaddy1 says...

Rules for the Zombie Apocalypse.

1 - You are not safe. EVER.

2- Cardio- Be able to run for an extended period of time
.
3- Always carry a minimum of 2 reliable, lethal weapons (I can not stress "ALWAYS" enough)

4- Better safe than stupid (example- use your head; cut off theirs!)

5- Know where you will be sleeping before the sun sets. Be prepared to move out before daybreak.

6- Travel light- No dead weight (this goes for both objects you carry and people you're with. If someone can't pull their own, ditch them)

7- Save one bullet (do I need to elaborate?)

8- Dress smart (Tight-fitting, comfortable clothing, with large, accessible pockets, and preferably velcro-sneakers)

9- Do(n't) be a hero

10- Only pull the trigger if you're ok with every ghoul within hearing-distance knowing exactly where dinner is.

11- Stay nourished and healthy (if you're living off canned food, make sure to take multi-vitamins! And remember, if you get sick, there's no hospital to treat you)(and remember, always use a condom! You really don't want herpes during a zombie apocalypse)

12- Drive safe! (And by that of course I mean drive in a hummer or a large SUV with bars welded to all the windows, and if possible an escape hatch in the roof) Also remember the larger the vehicle the more gas it uses. Try to balance, Protection, range and reliability.

13- If you can avoid it, then do.

14- Never, ever, ever, under any circumstances shall you EVER go anywhere alone (yes, this includes the bathroom)(void if everyone you've ever known/loved is a zombie)

15- Enjoy the little things.

16- Your mind is your most powerful weapon. Think, preferably outside the box (ex- need meds but the hospitals are all filled with Zack? Go to the vet/a pet store!)

17- Leave no doubt- know your way out!

18- Know your environment, use it to your advantage.

19- Tread carefully (watch where you're going and NEVER walk backwards)

20- never give up

21- Calculus (Example- it takes you .75 seconds to hit a zombie in the head with a baseball bat and then prepare to strike again. If a zombie is withing 3 feet of you you can't wind up for a successful kiss-swing. It takes a zombie 3 seconds to walk 2 feet. The situation: you have 5 zombies walking towards you. Before you even prepare your first strike, look at the distance between each of them and determine if it will be possible for one of them to get within 3 feet of you while you dispatch the others. Plan out your kill order and know when you're going to need to back up (but remember rule 19!))

22- Double tap

23. Think outside the box. Example; fleeing survivors have raided the drug stores, hospitals, and doctor's offices and left you behind with no medicine. Solution, go to the pet store. A big chain pet store has everything from vitamins to sedatives (be VERY careful converting dosages).

I know there are more I'm just currently to lazy to find them.

The bloodiest, most violent, kids gun fight you'll ever see!

DerHasisttot says...

1. Yes, that poor man was shot multiple times with a lethal weapon because of the obsessiveness with danger from using weapons.

2. "The PC protection obsession is what leads to a world where kids with a plastic gun can be shot on sight." Really? Not the knowledge about the accessability of lethal guns for children? Not because a child playing with a lethal or toy- weapon for fun without malice is apparently enough reason to shoot the child in your scenario?

3."And some obsessed maniac came along an interpreted it as a threat to society." A police officer, brought up in a militaristic, gun loving culture. Who gets told he did the right thing by this society. Who is set free by this society. Who killed a human being with a gun in this society. And almost all are fine with that.

Nothing bad can come from a widespread disregard for human life and the fragility thereof

Oh, please.
Your link, if anything , proves my point, that poor man was shot partly because of the obsessiveness with danger from using weapons..
The guy was shot because, like the kids in this video, he used a "weapon" for fun, by doing something constructive with it. The PC protection obsession is what leads to a world where kids with a plastic gun can be shot on sight. He had harmless fun with his knife, just like these kids had with their waterpistols. And some obsessed maniac came along an interpreted it as a threat to society. Fuckin relax instead. live in the real world, where woodcarving, waterpistol shooting and the flashing of janet jacksons boob isn't viewed as a threat to our civilization, but for what it is: harmless fun.
