STAR TREK Theme (TOS at very end) Harp Twins electric...

Why LEGO is the BEST Company in the World

probie says...

When I was 10 years old, I played with Star Wars figures. At some point, I lost two of the guns for two of the characters. So I wrote Kenner, the maker of the the Star Wars figures at the time, wondering if there was some way I could get just those two guns.

A few weeks later, I received a padded envelope in the mail. Someone at Kenner had received my letter, gone down to the supply area and hand scooped parts and accessories from the line. Not only did I get the two guns I was missing, but at least 8-10 dupes, 1-2 copies of every other type of gun, replacement plastic capes for Darth Vader, Obi Wan, Bespin Leia, the newer cloth capes, Yoda's plastic snake and walking stick, in-arm lightsabers, hand grip lightsabers, you name it, it was in that padded envelope - including stuff for figures I didn't even own.

Someone took five minutes out of their day and it made my year. I've never forgotten that lesson.

Six Million Dollar Man Promo Toy Commercial

qruel says...

woah, you mean white and black kids play together ??? no shit ?
then too bad they didn't set the shot up better instead of introducing the kid out of the blue so as it seemed liked a misplaced reaction shot.
I'm a black kid and we never played with white kids.
letter to Kenner from 30 years ago :-)

Pretty sure he was just a kid playing with his friend.
Black kids sometimes play with white kids .. crazy huh?

If you think going through a window is intense .. how about pretending you're trying to stop a terrorist nuke from taking out the U.N.

btw this was 30 years ago so I'd put away the letter to Kenner.

How did I not know this existed? *head explodes*

Wow, this makes the three prequels look positively Oscar-worthy.

I own a copy, and it really gets down to watching the first 15 minutes or so....and the last 10, the stuff in the middle is worth one viewing (if you can make it all the way through).

I would say if you're a die hard Star Wars fan there's no way you can miss the first appearance of Boba Fett (this was aired long before Empire Strikes Back) in the cartoon that's shown approximately halfway through. It's fascinating to see the character concept remained basically unchanged and consistent (even down to the voicing)through the rest of the movies. Take a moment to check it out at around 56:00. Also don't miss the Kenner commercial at the end if you collected the toys as a kid.
