I read the news at 4am last night after pulling some OT. Shit I had a hard time going to sleep doom scrolling for another 30 mins before I put down the phone.

From this video, seems like the ship's power was going in/out intermittently before the crash with heavy smoke billowing out, so that might be engine/fire trouble.

Why that is (poor maintenance record, sabotage or what not) is to be determined. It's just a very inopportune, and deadly, time to have that kind of power outage.

I think that basically what the Nitrogen method is, iirc any of the noble gasses will work in that capacity. Many people here equate control of their car with control of their lives and refuse to consider any alternatives. Keep in mind, 1/4-1/2 of us here believe scientists 'made up' climate change for money (somehow, I've never heard an explanation of where that money comes from), those people aren't likely to cede control of their car to a computer made by computer scientists.

Some interesting things about the drug in question. It's generic name is zolpidem and it has a similar effect to benzodiazepines, i.e. it can help people go to sleep, it can produce a 'high' and using it will often result in dependance. So in other words it's not a drug to be taken lightly, there are very serious side effects, and it should only be used for short periods to avoid addiction.

The reason I mention this is that Sam most likely would have been experiencing this high when he asked Sally to marry him. He's feeling 'fucking great' because he's drugged up on what are essentially benzo's.

This is not to take anything away from the fact he can now talk, that part is amazing, but it gives the video some perspective. I am a bit suspicious that big pharma may have somehow funded some of this though, things that seem a bit too good to be true usually are.
