But Rotorua also had all the volcanic parks. They were awesome, geysers galore!
Queenstown was the epicenter of excitement when I went in 88. We bungied there, rafted and jetboated the Shotover river, flew to a glacier (Cook?), and hiked the Milford track starting and ending there. Good times....thanks dad.
And that's Rotorua on the north island. Wait till you get to the south island. That's when the fun really begins (at least in my experience).

Geysers on Neptune.... how do they work
George Brannigan's mental metal winter of riding
Storming it!
Eat rocks and shit gravel bro!
Yeah, that's definitely not Rotorua, no geysers. I'm still jealous. ;-)
*Skillful riding and *quality soundtrack.
Israeli military levels Gaza's Shijaiyah neighborhood
I believe that would be a shell, or bomb, landing and creating a smoke/sand geyser at the impact site.
At 8 seconds it sure does look like a couple of rockets come flying out of that neighborhood...

One thing Champs could have done to extend the game once the Command Center landed in his base would be to cancel all buildings in his base and make a Nexus at the minerals near his earlier cannons, then transfer workers the moment the Planetary Fortress in his base finished its conversion.
Champs would be behind on economy, but Ketroc didn't have any army units so he wouldn't be able to stop the Nexus. Then Champs could build cannons to attack Ketroc's gas geysers and some mineral patches (just outside the range of the Planetary Fortress).
From there he could tech to Voidrays or Colossi and possibly win the game, but it would be an uphill battle.
These collapsing cooling towers will make you sad!
I want a dyson sphere. Get some people on that, could ya?

Nuclear is not perfect, but it's the best we have right now. Coal and Oil are much worse. Wind, Solar and Geothermal are better, but not nearly the same scale as Nuclear.
There are several issues with nuclear and Chernobyl/Fukushima style disasters are frankly the least of them.
Leaving aside the obviously thorny issue of waste management, the other issue arises when you amortise the cost over the total lifetime of the nuclear plant. It's just not that cheap in terms of energy or money to build, run and then decommission.
As for renewable energy, it's nowhere close to providing the energy levels we need yet. Also there are other environmental issues with some renewable energy generation methods as well. Hydro requires large dams (concrete is an eco-nightmare) and can destroy habitats. Geothermal can affect the landscape (subsidence and sapping geysers are two common effects). Lots of people complain about wind turbines as visually unappealing (personally I find the aesthetically pleasing). I'm not saying renewable technologies are bad, merely that there are still issues with them.
In real terms, fusion is where it's at.

Creepshow 2 - The Raft
In the story, the 'creature' is more of a pure black smooth thing IIRC. When I first saw this version I just laughed. Pretty sure it's just a bunch of industrial Glad garbage bags strung together.
Also, the scene in the story where the creature drags the dude through the dock slats ends with a geyser of blood literally exploding from the guy as he's forced through the small opening.
Probably it's the ominous music that makes the movie version seem more threatening than it is.
Sewer Geyser lifts car into the air.
That was in Montreal, on Wolfe Street, between Rene-Levesque and Ste-Catherine. Because of the sudden rains we had on Monday (30 mm in 45 minutes), the manhole backed up and with the pressure of the compressed air, turned it into a geyser!
