BLACKS AGAINST BLACK LIVES MATTER

JiggaJonson says...

It was my grandmother's birthday on July 5th so I called her up and upon hearing her voice immediately shouted "ALL BIRTHDAYS MATTER!"

I mean where does she get off thinking that her birthday matters more than any other birthday. Just because hers happened to be the one actually happening ?

People can misuse statistics to prove anything. Forfty percent of all people know that.

I'm afraid you're misrepresenting the statistics.
Those are based on overall US population, not racially divided populations.

30 per million blacks killed even though they are only 13% of the population vs 12 per million whites even though they are 76%. That's 30 dead blacks for every 12 dead whites.
Whites don't get off Scott free, but per capita it's close.
1/6 as many blacks as whites but 2.5 times more dead...making it 15 times more dead blacks per capita when divided by race...not over twice as many whites like you said.

The numbers aren't as lopsided as expected because you made a massive statistical error. Try again please.

All these issues you list are demonstrably used more often against non whites. This doesn't mean exclusively, but if your base stats are right, it should be 3-1 whites getting shafted if it wasn't racist, but it's more like 15-1 blacks/browns being shafted.

MMA Fighter shows exactly what happened to George Floyd

greatgooglymoogly says...

The lookout in your example would have a felony murder charge, which is distinctly different from murder. If prosecutors overcharge and one juror doesn't agree, then they get off. I don't think the DA will risk that. I wonder how they are going to find an impartial jury though.

I hope not.
If 4 men grabbed a woman and held her tightly, then one started raping her against the other's verbal protests, but they keep holding her, they're all guilty of rape.

Saying in essence 'don't you think we shouldn't murder him in front of cameras' but not rolling him over or getting off his back, ensuring his death, is murder. It only makes a difference if they stop, and try to stop their cohorts PHYSICALLY.
Also, the one on his back, I think the one asking about rolling him over, is the actual murderer according to the autopsy...but it's a distinction without a difference. They all, as a group, murdered him. Even the one acting as a guard who didn't touch him....murderer. I, and most Americans, are unwilling to give police special treatment because they're cops unless it means extra charges because they abused authority to commit violence.

There is no distinction, just like there's no distinction offered for the lookout at a robbery, they helped murder him as a group.

Kueng hadn't yet completed his third full shift as a police officer on the day of the incident.

Thomas Lane was on his fourth day on patrol.

In the video, Lane can be heard asking several times about rolling Floyd over and Chauvin says no.

I think it will be hard to get a murder conviction against these two.

There certainly is distinction between the actions of all 4 officers.

Capitalism Didn’t Make the iPhone, You iMbecile

Not a straw man one bit. I didn't say you made the list, but you accepted it as the topic and your examples.

Again, they didn't personally profit. Government employees don't own patents on what they create on the job, and didn't profit personally from them. That came later from the public sector. Even in the private sector, inventors often don't profit from inventions they create at work, their company does. I'm certainly not saying people don't profit from their inventions, just not in these publicly funded cases.

100% of the examples were based on purely taxpayer funded inventions, created not through capitalism, not created for profit. Publicly funded projects are SOCIALISM. Those who spout hate of anything socialism should immediately get off the internet.

Again, G5 and G6 are being led by communist countries. Invention isn't tied to profit, especially these inventions.

Necessity is the mother of invention, not profit.

Do we need another round? We're going in circles because you insist socialist academic inventions are due solely to the incentive of profit, ignoring their history and origins.

That'd be an obvious no to taxation strawman, and the "cherry-picked list" wasn't made by myself, but rather the guy in the video so I think it a fair list to use as a critique of his point. I'm not narrowing or selecting anything to help me out, he did.

My 'logic' was not your taxation throw away, but rather as I stated: "being able to profit of your own ideas and grow your own business and keep the profits from it is just maybe a contributing factor in all that."

Innovation being connected to the ability of the inventor to profit from innovation? Doesn't seem a huge leap, and something that is far more pronounced under capitalism than socialism. So, yeah, when 100% of the examples the guy arguing here came up with all grew out of a nation with an underlying capitalist economy isn't a huge surprise, and makes a bit of case that maybe innovation IS encouraged by that factor of self-interest.

Yes, but I'm not under the delusion that anyone would pay to read my ramblings. Funny enough, my first job was at a publishing company, editing text books when I was 13.

I broke my back....twice....and had partial paralysis for years. Norco gave me opioid induced hypersensitivity, which increased my pain levels insanely. Getting off them was scary, but decreased my pain levels from a daily minimum of 6/10 (equivalent to putting a nail through your foot, which I've done more than once) to a normal maximum of 5/10 (equivalent to putting a nail 1/2 inch into your foot, which I do a few times a year)....but now I'm pushing 50 with no recent work record besides "house husband".
Also, I cannot sell myself to save my life....and no one's clamoring to buy/rent me.

Because I don't buy into the concept that money is above all else. I feel a life well lived and enjoyed responsibly is better than one that made money but not happiness.
Also because I'm broken and was disabled throughout what should have been my "productive years". Getting off opioid medications has helped with that more than I would have believed....but I'm still fairly unemployable.
...and because I made my money the old fashioned way....I inherited it....but family members just aren't dying rich like they used to. ;-)

So what? Get off your high horse, buddy, the clip you were specifically whining about is American media....and we are the undisputed leader in partisan media and get honorable mention for bat shit insanity.

Yes, you are making those comparisons.
"The left and mainstream media do more to divide us than anyone else."
Even being exceedingly pedantic, when you take anyone, divide and remove the left and mainstream media, then compare them to what's left, "anyone else", you've made a comparison with anyone not left or mainstream media, including all right wing media. Any normal reader would assume you are making a direct comparison with only right wing media. You're coming off as dishonest as JJ or Trump here.

LOL....I've seen the right wing media nonsense outside America too, Murdoch isn't American and didn't start here, the big three have international fame and fans, and in Europe, Africa, Australia, and Asia right wing media is quite often even more dishonest and bat shit crazy than in America (see Russian or some African state run tv) so my argument would still apply...but you were complaining about an American television show, so maybe first take your own head out of your own ass, then blow all that backed up shit out....I think you're totally full.
