Even a socialist see that the Trump indictment is BS

newtboy says...

More idiots spewing nonsensical wishful thinking….and bob regurgitating the frothy white mess.

What happened to wait and see” Bobby? Declaring victory before you could read the charges. What will you do when you see the evidence, or convictions!?! Just scream “nothing burger” and see if that helps.

That's a lot of TDS in one post. I wish there was video to go with the frothy typing.

It was a big show that hinged on one exceptionally weak plank... motive. Dems failed to prove the motive of President Trump's quid pro quo was to meddle with the 2020 election. The Dem running of the impeachment was as poor as their running of the Iowa caucus. Deal with it.

"Stupidity of American Voter," critical to passing Obamacare

enoch says...

not exactly a secret.
elites by the very definition feel themselves superior to the befuddled herd (actual term used) and therefore feel compelled to "guide" them and "control" them.
this attitude crosses partisan lines.
so on one side you have educated, indoctrinated elites who disdain the masses but use the language of empathy and compassion to manipulate and on the other side of the aisle you have a perverted aynrand/jesus monster to manipulate the masses.

either way....you are being manipulated.

and there aint NO way the republicans are getting rid of obamacare.only the largest bailout gimme to big pharma and the health insurance industry.that would be political suicide.the entire policy was written by the heritage foundation for fucks sake! not exactly a bastion of liberal ideologies.

just as no republican will repeal roe vs wade.
they will use abortion like a battering ram to get their religious base into a frothy frenzy of hate and self-righteousness,but no way would they EVER let go of that boom stick.

this video is stupid and is only being used to create a platform so a certain someone can jump on his soapbox and preach his religion.

fuck that shit.go on a street corner and peddle your wares.this video has zero relevance.

My ideals include a society where this sort of thing is much less likely, if not impossible.
That is not politically motivated, that is motivated by compassion for the people and world around me.

If you want to talk bring up the 'gun control bandwagon', now that's political. That is the gun lobby's wet dream cum to sticky fruition. The only thing that sells guns better than picatinny rails and fear of crime/zombies, is fear that someone is going to tell us that we can't play with guns anymore.
Which one of us has been whipped-up into a a blind, frothy, swearing rage here?
Which one of us is a lap dog?

"Good thing the home owner had a gun so that he could protect his family and his property!"

Don't fucking use shit like this to hop on the ignorant gun control bandwagon. The old man in the story is just a sad example of poor gun ownership. He is a murderer and should be charged as such. Period.

Stop being the media's lapdog and parading around on the deaths of innocent people to promote your political ideals.

Amazing Foam Day! No surprises, just LOTS of Foam!

Mitt Romney's Vietnam

And just what was Barack Obama doing during 1966-1970?
Note that I've tagged this comment with the sarcasm tag, because Obama was 5 years old in 1966, making the above question kind of ridiculous. However, had I not opted to write this extra comment pointing out the sarcasm, I'm quite sure the tag would have gone unnoticed and someone here would have undoubtedly come to Obama's defense in a frothy, picayune fashion. How do I know this? Because it's happened many times before: the sarcasm tag is too subtle.

See, to me the whole point of sarcasm is that the subtext isn't obvious, or at least isn't obvious to everybody. If you'd made that post without explanation or "intonation" I still would have got it. Its like an inside joke. You have to risk excluding people to make others feel included in the joke.

Although, it did just dawn on me that you might be using the sarcasm tag and explanation ironically. Thats really some next level meta-sarcasm right there.

Ancient document talks about Jesus having a wife

Trancecoach says...

they don't make as many facebook posts, or run for political office, or publish books, or run television networks, or foster a frothy mania among tens if not hundreds of thousands of naive-and/or-ignorant-but-certainly-needy people who are sadly and unfortunately easily manipulated by virtue of the fact that life is hard and they need something to believe in.

Isn't it time to drop the charade and own up to the bullshit belief systems and just be kind to people?

>> ^GeeSussFreeK:

@Trancecoach No doubt true of some, I was studying computer science and love philosophy, physical sciences, law and politics, ect while a christian, so it isn't a universal rule. I was lucky that I didn't ever know any of these "fundamentalists" while I was in the church. I met good and decent people, who focused on doing good instead of imposing fear and hate on people. Those people people exist, they just don't make as many facebook posts.

Man Calls JPMorgan Chase CEO A Crook To His Face

bmacs27 says...

@kevingrr

I think there is a lot of reason to be angry, and increasingly a sense that the traditional tools of policy and working within the system have failed us. Jamie Dimon is no hero. He's one of the key people that fought tooth and nail to keep effective regulations from being drafted. They talk big about the natural consequences of the market, and then they go and benefit more than almost any other industry from the government tit. It's disgusting hypocrisy.

I'm also surprised that you would talk about being from the real estate sector, and not be familiar with at least the putative benefits of the securitization of debt (the reason the needed to repeal glass steagall). If you are waiting for a return to the ease of real estate finance you may have experienced in the past decade or two of frothy CDOs you're kidding yourself. The party is over. There needs to be a return to actual underwriting standards, and an enforcement of those standards. That means paperwork. Sorry.
