Update: All of Fort McMurray under mandatory evacuation order, 80,000 people. The former main evacuation centre has been evacuated along with the hospital. In this situation usually fire crews from other provinces would be flying into AB to help but the fire situation here in BC is so bad that no BC crews will be going. Hopefully they'll get help from Ont. & Que.

For those wondering about the wood buffalo reference the city of Fort McMurray is in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
