i agree with ant. something is fishy with the fact that this is recorded. i mean, some kid whining over xbox live or something is understandable. i'd grab a recorder too... i was gonna say he coulda set it up knowing beforehand that his father would react this way, and wanted to show to his friends, "see, look at my dad the asshole? what the hell?"... the cam is moving though, and it looks like some kind of fish-eye lens cam-in-a-box. i dunno...

Well, from what the cop clearly said, they had continued to skate around AFTER the warning and were caught on the building's many surveillance cameras. Of course, that part is edited out of the skater's crappy homemade fish-eye lens YouTube posting. Oh no, those skaters are totally innocent for sure!

It's not like I'm against skateboarders or anything. I think skateboard restrictions ARE ridiculous in most areas, but at the same time, most of these kids think they are so clever and above the rules that everyone has to play by. If the law is f'ed up, then work to change the law. Don't prove that the law is right by being a dick.

No, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure he was seriously prolific. I love it too - I'm really into his city skylines, in fact I have appropriated one and have it as my desktop pic at times.

Any idea how many drawings he did? They really have a cool style about them, I love the way he drew some of those with a fish eye view of the street. Thats a pretty complex perspective to attempt.

An unfortunate confrontation of two widely perpetuated stereotypes maybe?

I now have a strong dislike for everyone in this video. Except maybe the grammy. I mean, police officer loses control (choke-hold excessive), skater can't shoot for shit (take off the hell-spawned excessory that is the fish-eye!), and the rest of the kids are dumb as shit for trying to run away. Even the one kid who tries to make himself appear "in the right", by saying, 'I'm gonna stay here . . ." still moves away from the 'scene', prompting the officer to chase him down as well. Grammy had everything right. Regardless of how wrong it might seem, when a cop starts talking to you, YOU DON'T DO SHIT! Just stay there! If he did shit wrong, get a lawyer bring it up then, get the case thrown out and give the cop a little well deserved unpaid vacation.

Great dolly shots (or whatever you call those) in the forest scenes, especially the first done is extremely well done compared to the usual fish-eye hand-camera make of those videos.
And nice ending, really bad ouch.
