Meanwhile, on Burr - you have to respect a comedian when you fundamentally disagree with his main point but find yourself laughing right through his set.

Yeah man, falling into the camp of Dane Cook = awkwardly funny, inconsistent. Burr hits on all eight most times, some seasoned and evolving comedians to watch on my short list-list of who I'd like to see famous include (if the genius' stick with comedy), Godfrey, Anthony Jeselnik , Kevin Hart, I dig comedian/musicians as well, Kate Micucci comes to mind, the kids from Comedy Death Ray in L.A., all the stuff the crew at Groening inc. and Matt Stone and Trey Parker LLC. crank out...That's all the, funny-bone-free-association for the day

I've yet to see anything from Dane Cook that has made me laugh. Do you have any suggestions?

I don't hate on Dane Cook because it's hip or in. I simply think he's not funny that relies on physical over-emphasis of uncreative observations. Hyperbolic pronunciations of words and repetitive loudness does not translate to funny.
And I, too, am a lover and connoisseur of stand-up. Have been since I was a kid.
He simply rode a wave of over-rated popularity. And now the rational comedy-lovers have pulled him back down to where he belongs - in the group of comedians who don't belong at the top.

Typical Dane Cook hatred for no reason. There are plenty of unfunny comedians and, yet, why pick on Dane Cook? Because it's the thing to do. It's "in," "hip," and "cool" to join in. I wish I could say that I'm just defending him unbiased, but the fact of the matter is I think he's pretty funny. I'm not a typical college girl that thinks he's so handsome and I want him to fuck my brains out so I go to his shows and scream at the top of my lungs. I'm actually a lover of stand-up comedy. Seen many live performances as well as ones on TV. Sure, maybe Dane's stardom seemed unequal to his talents, but I don't see somebody's popularity through hard work, networking, and charisma as a reason to chastise them.

Dane Cook was actually in an episode of Louie - Louis C.K. was trying to get Lady Ga Ga tickets for his daughters birthday, and Dane Cook had the same promoter, so he went to ask Dane if he could get him the tickets. Then the conversation went to why Dane stole a lot of Louis' standup material. It was great. Dane Cook is a douchebag, but at least he knows and admits it.

This joke is just too soon. plus the setup is not relatable - a vast majority of people like the new Batman movie, so who is really thinking "oh shoot me" just 25 minutes in... especially people who are there for the opening night. no one.

Dane Cook has never been afraid of reaching for that low hanging fruit, or in this case, mushrooms.

The world is a lot less confusing when you just substitute "Dane Cook" with "Douchebag"
