I actually thought this prank was altogether different.

I thought it was one of those "surprise our friend who passed out on the couch" gags. Wake him up all panicked and get him wondering what the f* happened.

You know, like when someone passes out in the car, and altogether you wake them up by all screaming, like you're about to crash.

Boy did I guess that wrong.

i own season 1-10 on DVD and i go out of my way to avoid watching anything newer than that.

some of the additions in this new intro are good, though jimbo and kearney sawing off Jebidiah's head insults the history of the show.

and the couch gag sucked.

This is actually the second version of this couch-gag. The first time, homer said "woow", which you can actually see in the way his mouth moves. Odd that they changed it.

For those of you, who, like me, couldn't get the music out of your head, I've mucked around on my guitar finding the chords, so you can play along. It goes something like this:

Start: Cm - Bb - Ab - G (three times I think)
Dino-fight: Cm - Bb ... D (the last with barre on bar 5, when homer-mouse looks up)
Rodent/simian: ? - Bb - A
(Don't know the name for ?, but it's xx323x, where you play 0 on the D-string first, if you have freaky long hands, you can play it like x5323x . The Bb is played x5333x. And the A is played 577655.)
shift: A-string: 5 - 3 - 1
Human: Bb - D/f# - Gm ... C#

There are a lot more details you can put in, but that's the jist of it. I hope someone can use it. Again, awesome couch-gag.
