Mieders Alpine Coaster - Frustrated Guy Crashes

artician says...

I thought she was right on the tail of the guy ahead of her. It seemed like she was basically connected to his ride for the duration of it.

I accept I could be wrong. I'm not so suspect of people as that, and definitely didn't have that conclusion. If I were to extrapolate on that line of thinking I would still disagree because I'd expect anyone who would have the gall to do that in the first place wouldn't then get off the ride and walk meekly away knowing that the guy who rammed her that hard (and it was hard, regardless of the effect) was going to be stopping just behind her.

All types of people in this world, so could go either way, but I personally think the assumption she's faking it is absurd. The number of people who are that shitty is pretty low, at least statistically and empirically, and I doubt someone like that would enjoy a nice roller-coaster down a hillside in the first place.

The problem with that theory is that she's faking it. If she were knocked out, like she's pretending to be, she would not be holding her brake on and would be ramming the guy ahead of her the rest of the ride, she's not. She's flopping. (soccer term, not the descriptive term) That said, the tactic worked because she fools the rear-ender into backing off and shutting up. When she gets off, she's just fine (but weeping).

The crash looked like the best part to me. I just found myself wanting him to stop for one minute, let go of the brake, and just go full bore to the bottom yelling "NO BRAKES", ramming and then pushing them at full speed. This is a roller coaster, not a sight seeing slide. You are not supposed to stop to look at scenery repeatedly. It completely ruins the ride for those wanting to ride instead of inch down the hill, and it is dangerous for both parties. I would have demanded another free ride or my money back. (then again, I likely would have been thrown out for mangling the sleds and injuring the other rider).

*terrible on behalf of myself and @EMPIRE

It was like watching a train wreck one can't pull themselves away from. I was horribly fascinated and hideously ashamed for laughing out loud [until the end segment that is] =o/

I'm so far removed from gaming that I cannot understand why there would be a game called 'Roller Coaster Tycoon'.

I don't think enough people have explained RollerCoaster Tycooon to you yet. Basically it was a game where you built rollercoasters.

Roller Coaster Tycoon in Real Life

It was a very addictive game. You could build custom amusement parks with very realistic custom roller coasters. The game play is basically just like the video, but in addition you have to micro and macro manage the park budget and keep your guests happy. You can even drown annoying guests, though it hurts your park popularity. There ware two sequels, the last one in 3D where you could ride the rides. >> ^kymbos:

I'm assuming you know of/understand the concept behind Sim City or similar city building type games? The aim being to make the biggest possible city that runs well and doesn't devolve into crime and poverty?

Well the various 'tycoon' games are all the same thing, just focused on one area of life. So 'rollercoaster tycoon', 'railroad tycoon', 'zoo tycoon', 'brothel tycoon' (ok, I wrote that as a joke, but then thought I should check to see if something similar exists, and lo and behold there is a 'sim brothel' flash game.... I don't know why I ever doubted there would be.

Wow, really? It's a *quality title where you get to design the rides and basically run your own theme park. A moderately less sociopathic pursuit than what you saw here.

I will be buying the special edition. I hated 2000 and 3000. But the first sim city on SNES and sim city 4 were badass. I'm pretty sure my social life died from these games... and Civiliazation... and counter strike... and Battlefield... and Ceaser III... and GTA... and Roller Coaster Tycoon... and Railroad Tycoon... Can't forget SW X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Rebellion, Jedi outcast, Jedi Academy, Battlefront...
