"Gang Bang Theory" Madonna vs Nancy Sinatra, Kill Bill

Robin Hood teaser trailer

EDD says...

I'll upvote this out of excitement for this release and my love for Scott, Crowe and Blanchett, but phrases such as "the story behind the legend" and "hero behind the outlaw"? That's the kind of commercial film-making sentiment that made Clive Owen's "King Arthur" go down the road of major suckage. Well, with luck this will simply prove to be studio marketing, not the whole premise behind the movie..

QI - Alan Rickman, Kevin Costner and Brit Villains on Film

EDD says...

Here we go again, the never-ending whiners' argument. UK actors always cast as villains by Hollywood? Puhh-leaz.

Forgot your own cinema legend Laurence Olivier, did you? Oh, we're in the 21st century now? What about Jack Bauer? Huh? Forgot Hugh Laurie, America's No.1 male sex-symbol, too? Christian fucking Bale? Gerard Butler? James McAvoy? Starting to remember some, are you now? Jude Law. Idris Elba. Sir Ian McKellen. Patrick Stewart. Ralph Fiennes. Michael Caine. Clive Owen. Ewan McGregor. I bet I could name thrice as much if I started googling.

If you want to whine about Brits occasionally being cast as baddies, first acknowledge that Arabs, Russians, and Chinese have long had it way worse. Wankers.

Insane car chase from Shoot Em Up

This was a wonderfully silly movie, and was actually quite a clever satire on gun-movies. I'd also love to be Clive Owen and wish I could get paid to thrash the farfegnugen out of German sedans.

As I remember the reviews were scathing because the requirements were pretty high and it wasn't exactly Elite done in better graphics.

Well, yeah, they kinda touted it as being Elite, when it wasn't really that open, but the reviews I was referring to are recent ones, so no system requirements come into it these days.

Strapping Young Lad - Zen

Okay that "Shoot 'Em Up" cameo has to be explained, it appears in the dumbest plot line progression, the 'Shooter' played by Clive Owen somehow deduces that the baby he has in his possession was born near a heavy metal club because it doesn't cry when it hears heavy metal (SYL) play on TV over some Senator giving a speech.

Stupidest movie ever. I can't believe Clive Owen (Shooter and killer by way of carrots), Monica Belluci (playing a lactating prostitute) and the dude from Sideways (necrophiliac and savant to finding the shooter) even signed on... they must have been doing some crack.

Thanks bud! I actually purchased the DVD of these when they came out and then promptly forgot about them until today when for some reason I was trying to think when I had first seen Clive Owen act. Agreed about the scope of this ad project-- well-conceived and well-produced! Thanks for the upvotes!
