GameTrailers Top 10 Years of Gaming
On paper, 2007 seemed like a really great year: Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal, Team Fortress 2, BioShock, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4. But only Episode Two managed to make it into my all-time top 20. Maybe it's just too soon for the other games to bump older favorites.
I'd probably have to pick 1995 as the best year, when Chrono Trigger, Command & Conquer, and X-COM: Terror From the Deep (my introduction to the series) were released. It's hard to pick just one year, though. The best "era" I would say was 1997-2000, when my top 5 all-time favorite games came out (Deus Ex, System Shock 2, Half-Life, Fallout 1 and 2).
What is your favorite genre of game to play? (Videogames Talk Post)
My favorite genre are probably murder simulators I mean FPSs. Nothing beats good ole multiplayer mayhem, be it team play or death match. My current favorite is TF2, not only is it great fun, but it doesn't bring my computer to its knees and make it beg for mercy. Q3 gets an honorable mention for all the countless hours of LAN games I played on it.
Other Games I've enjoyed greatly:
Final Fantasy 3 (US)
Secret of Mana
Chrono Trigger
Grim Fandango
Star Craft
Galactic Civilizations II (Known to cause highly localized time warps)
Half Life series
I've recently managed to kick a WoW addiction, I'm treating it with a plethora of other games to manage the cravings.

Screw Attack - Top 20 SNES Games Part 2 (10-1)
Good to see I'm not alone in acknowledging that Chrono Trigger is the greatest game ever.
Screw Attack - Top 20 SNES Games Part 2 (10-1)
I'll never forget the kid that "lost" my copy of Chrono Trigger after I let him borrow it. I think that moment is most responsible for my chronic inability to trust others...
Do you hear that Jeff, I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!!!
Screw Attack - Top 20 SNES Games Part 2 (10-1)
In grade 9, I made the dumbest move ever. I had a SNES with FF2, FF3, secret of mana, chrono trigger (tied with FF3 for best game I have ever played), and secret of evermore. I traded it all away for a playstation with FF7 and FF9 and some other shitty games. It still hurts to think about it.
The Ultimate Guitar Hero is 9 years old
I'm a grown-ass man, and I think these games are really fun.
I grew up wasting time on crazy-long role playing games (chrono trigger, earthbound, etc.). I was fortunate and eventually got a drumset, a film camera, and had other real-world distractions (...girls), but I still think a well designed, immersive video game serves a purpose.
Optical Camouflage
Found the Chrono Trigger album. It's called Brink of Time by Guido.

Lol @ Chrono Trigger acid Jazz!
This technology is cool. Came out a few years ago if I recall. Too bad it neads a camera in order to work.
Video Game Music on the Organ
Thanks for sharing this! I want more Chrono Trigger.
Funny how part of the Naruto piece is just a barely modified Toccato in D-Minor attributed to Bach. The first music I ever bought was some Bach pipe organ when I was little, so I'm kinda a pipe organ nerd.
Grand Central Timelapse
This is from the movie Chronos by Ron Fricke. This is the same man who brought us Baraka and worked on Koyaanisqatsi.
Original music by Michael Stearns.

Bug: Duplicate entries in the recent comments report (Sift Talk Post)
lucky,
FYI, it is not fixed now. I know there are more recent comments, including my own, but they don't show up on recent list. I think it is only showing comments on videos, instead of also including blogposts and comments on discarded. comments.php?comment_order=all_threaded still works like before.

A Classic is Dieing . . . (Sift Talk Post)
I think chrono would be best; allows for a "randomness" factor (i.e., first thing on the list won't always be identical - top vids are rarely knocked off their perch), and is a way to "save" a promote which was invoked during periods of high front page cycling.
