The Cecil B. DeMille Award is an honorary Golden Globe Award bestowed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for "outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment".

Sorry, still don't see it. Harpo Productions is responsible for (among others) The Oprah Winfrey Show, Dr. Phil, Rachael Ray and The Dr. Oz Show (which, I would argue, is actually a social harm).

She's had a hand in a few interesting films (notably Selma), but she's just not in the same league as previous winners.

This can't be real. I highly doubt Alfred Hitchcock and Cecil B DeMille had anything to do with this.

In fact, that footage looks too clean and sharp to be from the 50s. I say this has been recently made by someone and engineered (with filters, etc) to make it look old. It's well done, but definitely not real.

And Bob Dylan is so over the top (even for the 50s) it's laughable.

• Bruce Willis - backstage he admitted: 'He was fantastic, he killed it, he did great.'

• Rising British actor Andrew Garfield admitted it had been a cringe-worthy performance: 'He's been terribly nasty and horribly rude and I think he's genius.'

• Fellow Brit Christian Bale said he didn’t feel Gervais pushed the envelope enough and added: 'Thank God for comedians, they have the most important job. I hope he keeps going further!'

• De Niro was also seen dissolving into laughter but he too had made his own little jibes about the event as he collected the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award.

Maybe it was zombie Cecil B Demille realizing he didn't need special effects for that one shot
