Police Video: No Blood, Bruises On George Zimmerman

A stereo thief hit a guy with a bag of like 6 pounds. He got stabbed to death. The stabber got off. The stabber had been the one to chase him down... SYoG...

Dunno how anyone can see stuff like that transpire and think it's a good idea to let someone go under that law who actively pursues and kills.

The Wiki on SYG has this blurb:

Stand your ground laws are frequently criticized and called "shoot first" laws by critics, including the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.[36] In Florida, the law has resulted in self-defense claims tripling, with all but one of those killed unarmed.[37][36] The law's critics argue that Florida's law makes it very difficult to prosecute cases against people who shoot others and then claim self-defense. The shooter can argue they felt threatened, and in most cases, the only witness who could have argued otherwise is the victim who was shot and killed. The Florida law has been used to excuse neighborhood brawls, bar fights, road rage, and even street gang violence.[36] Before passage of the law, Miami police chief John F. Timoney called the law unnecessary and dangerous in that "[w]hether it's trick-or-treaters or kids playing in the yard of someone who doesn't want them there or some drunk guy stumbling into the wrong house, you're encouraging people to possibly use deadly physical force where it shouldn't be used." This is in reference to Sarah McKinley, a teen widow with her infant child, who shot an intruder who broke through the front door. The intruder was apparently drunk, screaming and at the wrong house

Self Defense claims tripling should be indicative that you got some problems on your hands. And I doubt they count these cases as "crimes", making their crime rate lower. Reinforcing the idea that the law is sound.

And I'll just note, I've never heard of your stabbing case prior to you mentioning it. Whether it's got no racial elements to exploit or no gun involved to exploit for news, I don't know. But people care a lot less if it's anything but a gun involved.

Chaos and Bone, you both make semi-valid points. However, if you buy cotton picked by slaves, and then say "but don't confuse the ends with the means. Our desire for cotton may not justify the immoral actions used to produce it, but that doesn't mean cotton or our desire to wear it, is wrong."

nope, cotton picked with slave labour is immoral to support through a consumer purchase.

I will however admit that you need a cell phone in today's society to get a job. I never said that no one should own electronics.

@BoneRemake, I hope I do belong to a different herd. I guess we'll see which group of monkeys treats the other monkeys with more kindness and love.

I never said we need to do away with cell phones, or computers, but Foxxcon type operations need to stop, and products need to be recyclable before I consider them ethical. None of this is pie in the sky utopianism, it just takes people who care, but nobody cares for the dead of Foxxcon, they just want to play angybirds. (Or for bone, monkeys who care, whatever you consider us.)

Two questions.

1: How many of them are practicing?

2: How many of them are sincere?

Offensive to Christians, but who cares about them, right?

Given that Christians make up 80+% of the USA, it seems that most of the people who don't care about Christians must be Christian.

Pretty much. It's perfectly fine to be proud of your idendity if you're a Muslim, or a Jew, African-American, Hispanic, Atheist, or whatever. But when a Christian is open about their identity then they must be stopped at all costs, mocked, and told to keep it to themselves. The hypocrisy of society towards Christianity never ceases to amaze me with its breathtaking lack of self-awareness. Even worse are the retards who justify it with such idiotic mental diarrhea statements as, "Hey - it's OK because they're the 'majority'.
Do this skit about Muslims with Mohommed and you'd have suicide bombers blowing up the studio in a week. And the SNL staff would be apologizing for hurting the bombers with studio shrapnel. And the rest of our PC enslaved society would apologize for having offended them in the first place.
But let ONE Christian so much as say, "Your skit is offensive to me" and the same people would jump down every Christian's throat for being a jerk, using thier faith as a club to suppress free speech, and for just plain being a dirtbag with no sense of humor. Ah - hypocrisy - thy name is prejudice against Christians.

Awww, is the most powerful socio-economic group on the planet upset because someone is making fun of them? Cry me a river.

and as for the whole tired "you won't make jokes about muslims" line....

because danny made me realize that the post alone might leave it open to ridicule.that people would see it for far different reasons than what my intentions were.
i should have anticipated this but my imagination failed.
i was rummaging through my old archives and came upon this old video and was just flooded with such great memories and wanted to share.
i thought the video was funny and the whole idea behind it just cracks me up but after my conversation with danny i realized that it doesnt make much sense without a backstory.

why would it be a bad thing?because it is personal?
this is my dear heart and knowing from where she came to where she is now is one of my greatest success stories and i am so very proud of her.

but now i am beginning to question my initial exhuburence.while my desire was to share, much is lost in translation and the thought of people ridiculing this wonderful person sickens me.
i was her protector for years and i find the instinct to protect her is still strong.

i live my life openly and honestly so the idea of personal information does not hinder my courage to just throw it out there, BUT the thought of people ridiculing this lovely free-spirit is a whole different matter.
i know she wouldnt care.she would most likely laugh.
but i care.
i think i may have made a mistake by posting this.
