Crazy, awesome nature compilation.

luxury_pie says...

>> ^robbersdog49:

Nature can be awesome. Truly inspiring and incredible. The last sequence with the Buffalo calf being attacked by lions and then a crocodile and then being saved, that's awesome nature. Why the images of people being very badly injured/killed by animals? That's not nature. I don't believe that none of the victims died, this isn't a news story and I'm pretty sure that makes this snuff.
Nature can be horrendous as well as beautiful. I've watched lions in Kenya catch and kill a Zebra and it really was a horrible thing to see and hear. It took a long time to die. What you normally see on TV is the edited down version. Death is a part of nature, a part of life. The lioness had cubs and they would survive thanks to her killing ability. It wasn't just mindless violence.
I don't like to see snuff on the sift, but particularly when it's presented as being a demonstration of how awesome nature is. This is an unpleasant video and about as far from being awesome as it's possible to be. If a bullied animal gets it's own back on the person bullying it, nothing good has happened. The animals 'getting revenge' in this video will have been killed for what they did. Awesome would have been seeing these animals being rescued from their positions and looked after properly before things got that bad. This is just sad.

I have to disagree on "nothing good has happened".
IMHO if the abusers died for what they did to the animals, the world is a little bit better.
And to take the edge out of the snuff-judgement:
a) the bungee jumper was fake
b) the dude arm wrestling the crocodile, alive and had it coming
c) the fucktard participating in the toro-chase in spain? Educational I hope.
d) the poacher for torturing the cat? Educational too.

Disturbing yes. Snuff no! Because there is a valueable lesson attached.

Ron Paul Defends Heroin in front of SC audience

dannym3141 says...

>> ^shinyblurry:

I don't believe the government should regulate our personal lives. It's a fine line. Take the heroin example. Heroin is so dangerous, and so deadly. Overdosing is not hard, at all..and I personally know a lot of people who would probably become heroin addicts rather quickly if it was easy as picking it up in the convenience store.
An incontrovertible fact is, if heroin is legalized, people are going to die from it who wouldn't have otherwise. Is it worth lives to make a dangerous and deadly drug available to masses under the pretense of liberty? Why can't we be rational, and reasonable instead..and say, well the cause of liberty should outweigh the harm..but we will collectively decide that some of these are just so dangerous that it is worth impringing on our liberty to keep them illegal.
The bible says that everything is permisable(besides what is explicitly forbidden) but not everything is beneficial. Likewise, though liberty is valuable it is not always beneficial to the whole. Remember, when liberty is taken to the extreme you have anarchy.

Know what else is dangerous? Sky diving, bungee jumping, base jumping, some parkour, motorcycle racing, f1, trick motorcycle jumps, you fucking name it, we do it.

In my own personal opinion, it is not the place of a government to act as my mummy, taking dangerous toys off me, reprimanding me for doing something hazardous to my health. Human kind has lived for many long long years without that kind of omnipresent babysitter.

It is not government's job to say what you can and can't do with or to your own body as long as you are not directly harming anyone else in the act of doing it. Part of being free is having the responsibility for the effects of your actions on yourself and on the people you love.

(inb4 drugs harm others) The only reason drugs harm others right now is because they are illegal.

Edit:
Whoops i forgot to add - ron paul continues to say things that make absolute perfect undeniable sense! Can he come over here and run a political party please? I want to see/know more.

NOVA: "B-29 Frozen in Time" (part 1)

BoneRemake says...

I watched the entire thing and right around the ending there the only thought I could succumb to was " fuckin idiots"

a piece of equipment was ratcheted down wrong or held in place with bungee cords and in turn destroys all that work and money and history.

Fuckin idiots.

Bungee Jump Prank

Throbbin says...

I would have done it if I had thought of it (as long as it wasn't his first time).

When I bungee jumped I was very quickly comforted by the pressure I felt on my legs after I jumped. I only experienced about 3 seconds of free-fall, then the pleasing sensation of being slowed down by the cord.

Umm so the bungee guy is probably dead? Doesn't that make this snuff?
I'm really not happy with some of the extremely fatal looking clips included in this video. At least have a fucking warning you moron.

Does this make you feel any better about it?

How about this quote from the end, asked if he would jump again: "Hopefully, one day, when I can convince Mum to let me do it again — definitely."

The most ridiculous water transportation device ever devised

choggie says...

This thing really is a clusterfuck of pointless design..No doubt many a disgruntled consumer will leave this baby in the bottom of a lake rather than carry it back home and store the thing to be never used again.

Better aqua-skipper would be a slingshot large enough to bungee-shoot a human body out into a body of water...The Human Pebble...See how many skips you can rack up while heading to the opposite shore!

Patriotism for Scoundrels

Pprt says...

Absolutely ridiculous.

Loving your country means you want to KILL everyone else?

What kind of twisted psychological conditioning has the Northern world suffered where the above definition of patriotism is lauded? The Communists had NOTHING on the pathology that's been infected to Europids.

Every day my concern for the future of Northern civilization grows.

It's not even as though we're committing cultural hara-kiri, we're diving headfirst into the pavement and severing the bungee cord strand by strand.

Scared recruit on the rappel tower

calvados says...

We were rappelling on Friday. Good times. I used to be afraid of going off the tower (or off of a high diving platform) but you do it a few times and you get past it. The first time I rappelled, in fall '98 just after my recruit summer, I was first thinking "ohh -- maybe I can get out of doing it somehow" but then the new part of me said "no, you're going to be brave and you're going to do this", and lo, I did.

For whatever reason I think I'd be chicken about bungee jumping but I'm looking forward to skydiving. I was hoping to do it before this season ended but my friends have no cheddar and so can't go now.
