750th Episode Opening Credits | Couch Gag | The Simpsons

newtboy jokingly says...

Or they could have left out Hans Moleman because something bad happened to him….like it always does.

I think it would have been hilarious to sneak Akbar and Jeff, or Bongo in there somewhere.
(I’ve been a Groening fan since the “Life In Hell” series)

I haven't gone through looking, but it would be great if they left out Grimey, just to annoy his fictional corpse.

edit: aaaw, here's there beside Mindy 25 seconds in. Could they have left out Gill so he doesn't get appearance fees?

Bongo isn't worth the spit. Sharing nothing as he has no grasp of history. I do...but am fairly well-read...and am open to learning the good/bad/ugly of American history. Check out the '60s and the LBJ administration. Find a book by a real historian. Answers should come by seeing it for yourself. Or, magically, given the chance to think about it objectively.

will admit was against Uncle Thomas from the beginning. anyone w/sense knew a black man was going to be appointed but who he was replacing was almost too much to bear (like the scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark - a jewel for a bag of dirt). never appeared to me to be overqualified or a cognitive powerhouse. believed he'd be what he is. seat filler.

so was biased in that regard. knew how to judge the judge.

in a wider view - we are all biased in some regard. hard not to be. science has shown even our brains give us bad info. racism exists everywhere - no one group is immune. 'tho some use it as a tool to get other tools to act like fools (ex: Jan 6). i.e. don't use bias to prove bias. like trying to wash in dirty water.

Can't help w/the other vids 'cause they smell of BS. Open-minded doesn't mean Open Holed. Don't have to be an outhouse. Don't want to step in it - why roll in it?

With all the cameos of Bongo throughout the years, I often wonder if we'll ever get an Akbar and Jeff nod.

Paul Krugman:Occupy Wall Street has changed the conversation

There are plenty of people who know enough about economics to intelligently dispute Krugman's (or Keynes') theories. Based on the comments above, I'd guess none of them are posting here.
To be fair, I doubt there are are many economists camping out and beating bongos either. Most of the economic theories held by individual protestors are as unsupported as the ones on the sift. That does not invalidate their general unhappiness with the political system or their desire to see certain measurable inequalities in our economy addressed.

A good question. People in the US need to remember one glaringly obvious fact: socialism, communism, and the like didn't bring the world economy to its knees. The corporatist and capitalist criminals on Wall St. and the beltway did that. I don't know that any one of these economic theories is the solution to our situation but let's be clear: criminals brought us where we are today and not marxists, keynesians, or any of the other usual suspects.

P.S. no one needs a degree in economics to know they're getting ripped off by the 1% and friends, but playing a bongo does take some practice. Have you ever successfully played a hand drum? It's tough. Wait until you try tabla, buddy :-)

@lantern53 Yeah because the blanket statements like "hippies playing bongos" are not at all used to promote misinformation about what is being protested. They are being used as a response to the hippy B.S. allegation the media is jumping on. I hope to see more veterans show support for what is happening.

QI - How to reduce your ecological footprint

rychan says...

But you haven't backed up any statistics. You've done no quantitative reasoning nor cited anything.

The claim was about land usage, not energy or greenhouse emissions, although I don't believe that a dog can be worse than the average Land Cruiser by any of those metrics.

If the production and transportation of dog food really took so much energy, then it would be expensive. Instead it is 1 dollar a pound for quality food. Is it being subsidized in some way that the fuel for the Land Cruiser is not?

I'd prefer a citation to examine.

>> ^Peroxide:
Oh, and if I haven't pissed off pet lovers enough by backing these QI statistics, think about how many people will starve to death while your obese dog bongo fills up your back yard with shit today.
