I found it by puting in youtube embeds until Sifty told me it was a dupe (then I added "jet" to the tags).

Seven Tomahawks

dmac says...

Headline 2012 - "Blue angels on indefinite hiatus. Replacements found in unused stockpiles."

Im not entirely sure of the accuracy of this video - ive never heard or read about Tomahawks flying in formation, specially with an inertial guidance system and terrain following radar, how to they manage do fly that close? Anybody confirm or deny this.

Blue Angels Sneak Passes

Don't be discouraged if you don't get many votes (you man--I don't know). It's just that while your video is different, there were two other low blue angel flybys over water posted recently, and one was a subset of your video.

Oh, and vote for your own videos: that's not egotistical, it's expected.

Wannabe Pilots Try Out in a G Simulator

pho3n1x says...

wumpus, supposedly the opposite... too lazy atm to find the blue angels clip, but high blood pressure will actually help to prevent the blackout. i don't know if this is true scientifically, but i would have to assume the blue angels pilot would know best.

i'd love to try this though... see where my blackout zone is...

Blue Angels Pilot "Owns" Navy Pilot by making him pass out in back seat

Another ride with the Blue Angels

pho3n1x says...

oh yes dag, very much so. referred to as a 'blackout', the g's pool the blood into your legs. in order to counter this effect, you must flex the HELL out of your legs, and you're supposed to tense every muscle you can in your lower body. usually grunting (as if constipated) helps as well.
usually pilots wear flight suits that automatically inflate in certain areas, to repel the bloodflow into the legs.
the Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, and the like do not use G-suits, because the air bladders inside them would repeatedly deflate and inflate. That would interfere with the control stick between a pilot's legs.

conversly, pulling negative G's has the possibility of causing a 'redout' which is due to the blood rushing INTO the brain and the eyes, thus causing the pilot to see red.
