What's sad is that this lady is, in all likelihood, completely sober. In my Christian days, I attended a church that took great inspiration from Benny Hinn and similar morons, and thinks like this (well, perhaps a bit less scatological) were said at just about every single meeting. If only drugs COULD explain the behavior of fundamentalist Christianity...things would be so much simpler, then.

Televangelist Benny Hinn is threatening to sue the religious satire magazine The Door for the video clip it is distributing that shows Hinn's wife, Suzanne, preaching at their former church in Orlando, Florida. She says if you're a lifeless, blackslidden Christian, you need a "Holy Ghost enema... right up your rear end."

The Door magazine is shorthand for the Wittenburg Door. It's a group of Christians who poke fun at the stupidity that takes place in the Christian religion. Fun!

It is very easy to view the pursuit of science as something pure and exceptional, but in the end, it is still a product of confused but well-meaning bipeds (FN: paraphrasing some nice bits by choggie). I prefer to view it about as skeptically as I view Jesus. But not nearly as skeptically as I view Benny Hinn.
