Prince of Persia Classic Comparison
Oh, what?! I never knew that 2.5D remake for the Xbox 360 even existed! It looks pretty awesome, actually.
Wonder if I can still find it somewhere...
Thanks Ant
Xbox One Trolling
online PC gaming is slightly more mature than xbox. I tried a few times to play xbox 360 online, each match devolved into the same pre-teen squealing in my ear. Cancelled xbox Live Gold as soon as Netflix app was on PS3. Never looked back.
avoidance of the cesspool that is online multiplayer gaming (/shudder).
South Park - Xbox One vs PS4
Proud member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race.
I feel bad for all you dirty console peasants, especially since your new machines can't even run games in 1080p!
Meanwhile, I shall be over here with my oculus and my 120hz 1440p monitor with the Best Damn Control System Ever: the awesome keyboard/mouse/xbox-360-xcontroller-when-I-need-it combo.
Also, if you really must be a dirty console peasant, here is a simple guide:
the ps4 has better hardware, the xbone has a better controller.
MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA!
Or at least I will be until my wife finds out how I spent on new PC hardware....
Who Would Want to Buy Anything From These Pricks??
Because the Xbox 360 deal was pretty tolerable for it's time. Except for their ridiculous $50 annual fee to play peer-to-peer games online. . . Oh wait, Sony's doing that too now. Sony's just lucky that their dick move was completely overshadowed by Microsoft's incomparable dickery.
As I've been saying since the first Xbox: This is Microsoft. Why did people embrace them in the first place? Track-record means nothing to consumers...
Comedian Lewis Black on Xbox One
The new Kinect has significant upgrades from the Kinect Accessory that's out now (for Xbox 360). This wiki page has a good overview: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinect#Kinect_on_the_Xbox_One
This video uses both (new one for the always-on controversy) and old one for the beer-robot. Which is OK, cause it's a comedy piece.
The first Kinect could do facial detection to login to a xbox live account, but it requires good lighting, and isn't very fast (for me, it could never get past calibration, so I don't use that feature- games work fine without it). The new one is supposed to do this (login) better, but also detects facial expressions in real time, like if the player is smiling.
Aside from that, did they say it was the Xbox 360 Kinect that could do facial detection? Because I know that is an intended feature for the XboxOne.

Echoing the need for the change to "Lewis". That made me double-take as well.

should change the title from Louis to Lewis....
When I see "Comedian Louis" I automatically think of Louis C.K.
Kinect for 360 can't detect facial features, but it's still great for robots.
I will re-coin the classic:
"Every time you masturbate, Microsoft kills a kitten on God's behalf."
Xbox One unveil highlights
I prefer FPS on the PC - using a joystick is just frustrating. But then again I couldn't imagine playing Little Big Planet on a PC. (although the Xbox 360 controller works great for many PC games, and it's nice that Steam is trying a joystick-friendly interface for big-tv-attached-PC-gaming.)
The thing I really hate is that both Xbox 360 and PS3 support USB keyboards and mice. It's completely up to the developers to include that in their game or not. I got a reply once from the makers of Resistance, and the reason they said they didn't include it was because it would make it unfair for multiplayer... well how about Single Player? or have a server setting that would allow/disallow keyboard+mouse?
Thank you. Nice to know there is someone else online that isn't a dick about consoles and PCs. It's possible to appreciate both

Xbox 360?!?!?!?! Lucky, spoiled kiddies!
Xbox SmartGlass - Actually really cool
Caveat: 99% of any features or apps on the Xbox 360 requires Xbox Live Gold. That means you pay even more out of yer pocket to use those things.
Is there anything useful for the Xbox Live Silver/free users? Yes, that tiny 1% that MS gives you. Everything else requires Live Gold. IE requires Gold. YouTube requires Gold. ESPN requires Gold (although reasonable given the app design). DailyMotion requires Gold. Netflix requires Gold.
There is a major imbalance in how Silver is designed when compared to Gold. There's no "app" that you can use. All you're left is playing music/movies from the Xbox itself or streamed from the network.
Smartglass? Nice idea. But shitty if none of the Xbox apps work w/o a Live Gold subscription. Xbox Live isn't simply a service where there is free and paid. It's all about paying to use Xbox Live despite having a free model.

Xbox 360 and PS3 Are Just Very Crap PCs
>> ^messenger:
I haven't played a console since SNES. What I liked about them then was that they always worked and never ever crashed. PCs still crash. Do consoles crash now? If not, that would be a significant advantage they have over PCs.
I haven't had owned a video game console since Atari 2600. I did borrow a Turbo Graphx 16 for about a week at my grand(ma/mother)'s house. I am more of a computer gamer with Texas Instrument (TI) 99/4A, Apple //c, IBM PCs, etc. Yes, computers crash a lot except for Apple //c and TI 99/4A since they were mostly the same like video game consoles.
