Any gamers in the crowd? (Blog Entry by JiggaJonson)

kagenin says...

I was playing arcade cabs before I could walk.

My rig is old and dated, but still plays some fun games. The main obstacle is Win2k. I'm still running it. And I've had to hack at some games to get them to work, but for the most part it does work.

I never really enjoyed the RTS genre until I played Homeworld, and Homeworld 2 is really good. I've also dug back to Black and White 2 (between crashes, its a wicked awesome game). Awesome stuff from the folks who brought you Fable and Populus (Peter Molyneaux and Lionhead).

I played FFXI online for over 2 years, and at the time, was one of the better white mages on the server (IMHO). I tried WoW for a while, but grew weary of the grind. I haven't played an MMORPG for years, now.

I also have a Wii. I <3 my Wii. I've had it since just a couple weeks after it launched. Can't wait to get Wii Sports Resort. I still play a bunch of the original Wii Sports My girlfriend and I used to play a ton of SSBB together (2v2 vs the cpu is always a blast), but lately we've been playing a bunch of Rock Band 2. Okami is a great PS2 port, awesome on the Wii.

I can't believe people got offended from the SSBB review... I'm not afraid to admit I'm a fanboy of the game, but for people to write hatemail about this is just sad... Although if there was one thing I didn't like about review is that there wasn't much hate to it compared to most reviews he performed...

GAAAAAAMETRADERRRRS ROBINAAAAAAA

lol no, but while I disagree with him that the game isn't awesome, he does point out the flaws quite well:

1. With SSBB being played almost constantly once we got it, it still took a few days to unlock all the freaking characters.

2. The huge levels are TOO FUCKING BIG, and zooming out to the point where you can't see shit (and I was playing this on a fucking hugeass TV) is just annoying as fuck. I complained about it in Melee, and was disappointed they kept it up here, though they did balance it out with a lot of fun, small levels too. The small levels keep the action fast and fun.

However, I don't understand why he complains about having "only one evening" to review the game. I don't know that that's really enough to fully try out all the different modes, and it certainly isn't enough to try out and get a feel for all the characters.

Overall, a rather mediocre review coming from him, because he seemed to be more focused on trying to piss off fanboys than reviewing to the best of his abilities.

Still, funny.

This is the most bloodiest review from yahtzee we have seen so far, and this coming from a game with no bleeding...

I admit I was one of those people who was waiting for this review, and I have to say that there wasn't much for this other than the long time it takes to unlock Sonic... I think yahtzee wasn't able to come up with as much bad things for SSBB but then again, it is hard to downplay a game and talk about the bad things in a game such as SSBB, though halo 3 was an easy target...

Overall, still enjoyed the review, although this one was lacking a bit compared to others...

Great Load Times in Sonic for the Xbox 360

Poor Sonic, While Mario excelled into 3-D and got better... Sonic got left behind and was stuck with mediocre games... Hopefully Sonic's luck will change when he works with Mario in two games... at the olympic games and of course SSBB...
