Great find Schmawy- Perse has a vague memory of this ad and is fond of Holdens for more nostaligic reasons ...

Lotus Omega vs Swedish cops (with sound)
Well, deathcow Opel has had several V6 at that time. Ranging from 2.6ltr /w 160bhp to 3.0ltr /w 200bhp. There even was a special version of the 3ltr called "evo" /w 230 bhp.
The 380bhp engine mentioned above (and shown in the vid) can only be found in this Lotus-tuned Omega... by the way it was the fastest sedan (saloon for you Aussies and Brits) of its time

My Saturn station wagon has an Opel V6 in it.... but it is not 380bhp

...and for the enthusiasts: The Lotus Omega is a special version of the Opel Omega (Opel is Vauxhall in GB, both brands of GM) built by sportscar manufacturer Lotus (famous for its Elise and Esprit). It has a 3.6ltr V6 /w 380bhp. We drove that as a family car (not the Lotus version i regret...), nice car back then.
