Simpsons Pay Tribute to Hayao Miyazaki
where was castle in the sky and nausicaa, and raccoon balls
Minecraft - Acid Trip Shader Mod
I thought I told Nausicaa not to eat the spores from the toxic jungle.
Rejoice! It is over, someone just won Minecraft
It's very impressive, but I'm just slightly disappointed that my favorite, Nausicaa, didn't make it in there. (But then I guess it would be harder to work in, because even though there's more material for it than all the other movies combined, none of it is quite as architecturally recognizeable.)
Anime Is A Prime Example Of Why Two Nukes Wasn't Enough

What's wrong with anime? Nausicaa is like one of the top 10 best movies of all time.
Yep.
And Cowboy Beebop is one of the best mini-series of all time.
Fun hearing from the closed-minded, 'I don't like to think too much, so I just lump things into easy to follow categories', mindsets though.

What's wrong with anime? Nausicaa is like one of the top 10 best movies of all time. The only good things in American animation are The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, Futurama, and Animaniacs.

Shows:
1 - Trigun, hands down.
2 - Naruto
3 - FMA (the remake)
4 - Kenshin
5 - Hellsing
6 - Deathnote was OK too I guess.
7 - Lain
8 - Wolf's Rain
I didn't get into Mushishi. Too slow and odd for my tastes. One of these days I'll have to go back and checkout Lodoss and Gundam, but I have a feeling I won't like either. I'm really looking for something special at this point and I'm just finding a bunch of generic garbage that is either terribly animated or 15 minutes and episode for one lame season. I guess it's time for Cowboy Bebop.
Movies:
1 - Memories - Magnetic Rose (Highly recommended, hard to find, very hard)
2 - The Miyazaki movies, especially Mononoke, Spirited Away, Nausicaa, and Howl's Moving Castle... but excluding Grave of Fireflies, which I really didn't get into. Too, too depressing.
3 - Metropolis
4 - Origin: Spirits of the Past
5 - Steamboy was OK
Antonov AN-225 landing in Norton
Reminds me of the planes from Nausicaa.

Hey, thanks! I am in the process of sifting an awesome concert footage from a GHIBLI Music Concert. It rocked my world, http://www.videosift.com/video/GHIBLI-Concert-Part-1-Nausicaa-of-the-Valley-Wind. I saw that you enjoyed Pom poko Tanuki 2nd time around. What was different?

The Iron Giant - Don't Give Up
You need to watch:
- Nausicaa in the Valley of the Wind
- Princess Mononoke
Because any list of best animation should include one or both.
Laputa: Opening scene (Castle in the Sky)
The air scenes in this movie are particularly impressive. My personal favorite of Miyazaki's works is Nausicaa. (Though the manga is necessary to get the full story.)
