Custom LEGO Marble Maze
My 7 year-old is way in to Technic and Mindstorm. I guarantee that once he sees this he will be trying to replicate it.
God bless Legos!

Child's Invention Defies Gravity
I'm not going to upvote this. Why conflate fantasy with engineering? This is celebrating ignorance. Oh look he had this cute but terrible idea. I guess the ad guys thought it would be cute and Harry-Potter-esque to do something like this. The people who make this fail at creativity since they couldn't come up with something real.
Here's something I came up with in 5 seconds -- A lego mindstorm robot which uses a sensor to keep your dog's water bowl at a certain level. There's probably a way to do it with most of the sensors. The accelerometer could detect when a floating lever has been tilted over, for instance, and then open a tap from a much larger container.
Working Small Block V8 Engine made from LEGOs
It's running on compressed air, if I'm not mistaken.

iRobot: Fetch beer! Empower hamsters! Rule world!
This video is silent except for the segment running at 3:47-4:14.
Gizmodo:
iRobot is trying to expand their market beyond just mopping and vacuuming, with the iRobot Create. It's basically just the body of the Scooba without the brushes or cleaning fluid tank. Instead they tacked on some ports so people can mod the system to attach things like reticulating arms.
One insane example of what it's capable of involves the unit, four directional sensors, and a hamster inside a ball. When the Hamster tilts the ball in a certain direction the Create moves that direction. Yes, in just a few easy steps you've created a hamster car.
iRobot has said that they really hope that people will even start creating their own accessories and add ons for the Create. This thing could end up being the Lego Mindstorm of the 21st century if they play their cards right.
Lego Car Autofab Plant
Now this is a true mindstorm project. Seriously, auto park car has nothing on this. As some one who loves playing with his mindstorms set, I will say, this is beyond me!
Lego Car Autofab Plant
that must be the most elaborate and awesome lego mindstorm project i have ever seen!
Self Parking Lego Car.... GO!
May look complicated but if any of you all own some lego mindstorms NXT you know its actually quite a simple design. My mace swinging bot, now there is a bad ass lego bot (By mace I mean a lego tire on the end of a big stick mounted on a control motor, works great when you battle them)
