This is the episode where MacGyver's locked in a room by some bad guys. In order to escape he fashions that punch from an empty roll of toilet paper, rubbing alcohol and bobby pins.

That's a fireball. This is more of a dragon punch, which starts with a forward tap.

Someone posted that they want to know more about the story.

Well, there's this mildly disassociated bunch of people with these heroic powers. One's a dashing swashbuckling leader who buckles swashes with great flair, another seems to be the reincarnation of MacGyver as a nuclear physicist, a third has the ability to use a string and two tin cans to instantaneously decipher alien languages across light years of distance, another has the spooky ability to navigate a skyscraper-sized starship through a grocery store revolving door with inches to spare, a fifth can repeatedly resurrect the dead, and so on.

Oh, and then there's all these disposable cannon-fodder extras in red shirts.

By the way, Spock's the bad guy that's trying to kill all the rest of them so he can steal their powers with his patented and creepy nerve pinch move.

All in all, I can't wait to see this.

MacGyver Intro - Long Version

Let's ask Wikipedia.

"MacGyver's first name remained a mystery until the final season; whenever he's asked about it, he says he dislikes his first name and changes the subject. Consequently, most of his friends and colleagues call him by his last name or simply "Mac." The script for the series pilot gave MacGyver's first name as "Stace", but this information, while mentioned in promotional material, did not appear in the finished episode. His first name is finally canonically revealed in "Good Knight, MacGyver", in which he learns of a 7th century Scottish ancestor, Angus M'Iver, and admits that they share their first name; and repeated in the series finale, which introduces MacGyver's son, whose middle name is Angus. It is also revealed on the packaging of the MacGyver DVD season sets."

Some fun facts about Major Garland Briggs, played by Don S. David:

He made his film debut in Joanie Loves Chachi, he was a stunt double in MacGyver, and, Jesus Christ, but he can't get away from the military type casting. I swear to god, that's pretty much the exact uniform he wears in Star Gate SG-1 -- which I might add, makes the circle complete.

Oh, also: David Lynch ftw.
