Lively shadows dance among green arbors on a long summer's day
Dragonflies and Koi play joyously and gay
The water ripples and the lotus sways
Evoking an endless fragrance, reminding us of Summer's way

Preacher calls Mohamed a Pedophile, Gets Punched by Muslim
Ah religion...
In all fairness, the woman's questioning is fairly hostile and not that inventive... yeah, the trinity doesn't make sense. Not really new in terms of criticism and her tone is pretty angry from the start.
The preacher? Typical ultra-christian non-educated bigot... that said, I'm not sure the woman is the beacon of tolerance people are assuming her to be either.
Religion, the opium of the masses. O Brother Where Art Thou had it right comparing them to the lotus eaters.

WARHAMMER 40.000: Total Destruction
I spent way to much time behind a magnifying glass, and far too much money on the table top version of this game as a kid. Now i just wish i had a black lotus to sell to recoup the years of ubernerdom.
Working Small Block V8 Engine made from LEGOs
I would like to see a little more about how the internals work. Does it have valves that are timed to drive the pistons? Are the pistons in fact individually driven by compressed air? In that case, getting the timing right would be impressive. If the air is just driving a flywheel that turns the drive shaft with it, that isn't quite so cool. Still cool though, just not quite so cool.
If he could connect it to some CO2 cartridges controlled by a throttle, and then put it into a car (a Lotus 49 please) so the whole thing was self-contained, THAT would be cool.
James Bond: Pierce Brosnan in The Spy Who Loved Me
well that was well done.

Why we are not ready to leave Iraq
I wonder what the oh-so physical competent farmer ...erm soldier boys would look like if they should perform a correct buddhist Lotus position for the first time.
Umm....pretty sure assuming the Lotus position isn't exactly the most difficult of physical activities ever. Not that I disagree with you about your point. Anyhow, your argument is actually in line with the point of this sift - if this is in fact their first times trying a jumping jack....guess how much longer they actually need to be trained?
Why we are not ready to leave Iraq
Just my guess: Could it be that while in "western" countries even little kids do the jumping jack that maybe but just maybe those guys have never ever did that? Maybe that's their first time trying? Anyone ever thought about that?

Be open minded!
